So what's Swarm you ask? Only one of the most badass pencil-drawn independant free 2MB game of this era. Using the same engine and style of Attack of the Paper Zombies, Swarm is all about 2 opposing critter factions trying to destroy eachothers nest.
The game starts with you (red) in the bottom left corner with you AI opponent at the top right of the field. The objective is to gain strength by conquering and taking back upgrades to your nest, where your whole population will benefit from. You don't directly control your mini army by yourself, but you use simple waypoints to guide them from the nest to the battlefield. Ofcourse, your opponent will be doing the same so it all comes down to tactics.
Don't be fooled by a simple control scheme, as it can make it a pretty challanging and deep working out ways how to flank, when to mass and attack and where to send your resources. All this has to be done whilst keeping the enemy from doing the same.
So, what are you waiting for? It's fun, free and a small little time-waster with surprisingly challanging gameplay. Grab it from http://www.indiebird.com/blog/?page_id=13 and start playing!
This is pretty cool.
Fuck yes, thanks DarkWolf.
How do I start a new game without shutting it down and starting it again?

You can't at the moment it's a sort of showcase game with some extra thought. It's not too hard to start it up again right?
-snip-
Wish you could start new colonies and have soldiers ants and worker ants. Soldier ants would be slower, but God damn would they be deadly. Worker ants would just be the backbone of your army, faster than soldiers, but easily killed.
This game has a lot of potential. I hope he adds to it.
Isn't this pretty much Dyson?
looks a lot like Dyson

Most definitely not. You should try it out, it certainly doesn't give any impression of Dyson.

It's a bit different, but very much the same.

Dyson is quite a lot better, too.
Instead of taking things back to your hive, you capture them to build on them.
Thus allowing for more tactics and stuff.
