• Problem with dialogs in Deus Ex

Hey guys im playing Deus Ex, but the dialogs in it shorts out with the audio, and most dialogs are going too fast with the text, making me have to open up the conversation menu and find out what the fuck they just said. How to fix?
Try setting the affinity of the game to one core if you have a dual core. I've had problems like that in old games and that usually fixed it.
offtopic, is deus ex worth it nowadays? I've got a spare sum of cash i was thinking of buying it

I turned off something with dolby surround sound and some other shit, worked seamlessly afterwards, only a bit problems in the start. I just bought Deus Ex, its pretty nice, but the beginner mission is kinda long. BUT ITS WORTH PLAYING. Also, how to access the console??
IIRC, Tab brings up a "quick console" (similar to chatting but without the say prefix) and ' (singlequote) opens the full console. It's not the "grave" ` key left of 1.
Or you could just press the talk button, clear the current text and type in the cheats there.
