What’s the difference between The Sims and SimCity? Both franchises are sandbox style open worlds that give you the tools to play with life how you see fit. The Sims franchise is a life-simulation that enables you to play with life at a personal level and focuses on individual Sims and relationships... You take care of your Sims, build relationships, work to earn money, look after their hygiene and more. SimCity is a city-building simulation that lets you create the cities that you desire. Gameplay is focused on the choices you make and how they shape your city and power the Sims within it. The Sims in your SimCity are affected by the decisions you make as Mayor. . They will come to you with requests for how they’d like the city improved and you can choose whether or not you’d like to grant their request. You will control their lives through a variety of ways like bringing in new industry, taking away jobs and forging relationships with other players. We made the decision to focus on the soul of the city and let players control the greater landscape than the individual Sim. Several key team members of past Maxis SimCity titles are back and will be working to make this the greatest SimCity yet. So about the distinct lack of TVs for my arcology?
So about the distinct lack of TVs for my arcology?
you should import tv's or build a consumer electronics factory.
Do you guys like the transparent SC5 logo. I made it transparent just for this thread.
So is there a Facepunch region that isn't completely full? I'd like to play with you guys.
Quite snazzy. How does one get into the FP region? Or one of the many FP regions, if there is more than one.
Do you guys like the transparent SC5 logo. I made it transparent just for this thread.
You didn't make it, EA did. Transparency in the OP is useless because there isn't any noticeable gradient.

Reposting because the glorious leader commands it. And it was last page. My Glorious North Korea has finally flourished and the Sims know it. God, the traffic AI is so broken. And the Region play is so broken. My main residential city is going broke because people are leaving because I have no power, because the city I'm buying from hasn't updated yet. It has 150MW pumping out into my region, but from the receiving city it thinks it only has 65MW so I'm getting brownouts. So now I have to take out loans to build my own coal plant to power my city, then the fucking region has the balls to tell me, "Oh, you have power, I'm going to cut you off now." It's my fucking city, don't make decisions for me.

cjewing
Do you have different tiers of names :D? Like, Tier 4 Origin, Tier 2 Facepunch. [editline]12th March 2013[/editline] Added both.
SweFox, where did you go? You're not online :(
Mine has 5 slots left. Origin name?
Got an invite? IgnThe_Haski
Considering purchasing this game because i've been quite a fan of previous installments. Is anybody from Australia having any connectivity problems?
Considering purchasing this game because i've been quite a fan of previous installments. Is anybody from Australia having any connectivity problems?
Don't buy it until they get their shit together would be my suggestion. [editline]11th March 2013[/editline] Loading up to get this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/80yjOot.jpg[/t] is absolutely intolerable for a $60 game.
My city's up to 100000 in Simtopia but I'm out of space
Still room for me Swe? <3
I want to buy this so badly but I have a feeling in my stomach that I would regret it. :/
Just hit 100k population with a shitton of money and loads of fancy-ass apartment buildings. LET's HEAR IT FOR OIL MONEY
I prefer this while watching my oil pumps turn: Though I think the wells should have to be drilled first, having the risk of explosive blowouts. Why is it that nuclear is the only energy source that has an operating risk where you need smart Sims to operate it? Petroleum engineering is not easy. Coal and Ore should have some inherent risk to them as well. Maybe have ploppables for each University building so you can add Petroleum/Geologic Engineering to your School of Engineering.

Should I wait till it's more stable before buying this, or should I get it now?
Should I wait till it's more stable before buying this, or should I get it now?
I'd give it a week, its playable but expect to be disturbed.
How private are the areas/games you can create?
How private are the areas/games you can create?
you can make public or private.
you can make public or private.
Yes, but how private are they? Can people view your map, join your map, etc.
