Just finished the first game, loved it, gonna start on a 100% complete soon. But I was wondering, is the second one worth the $60 or should I buy ME1 and 2 instead?
AC2 is by far the best in the series, I would suggest buying it.
However if it's a debate between Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect, I would go with Mass Effect.

Well I should have made that clearer, it'll be either Mass effect 1 and 2 or Assassin's Creed 2/Mass effect 1.
Buy Mass Effect 1 and 2, Assassin's Creed 2 costs 60 dollars on PC which is a joke, and shouldn't be supported. The game itself is alright but it's far too repetitive and tedious.
assassin's creed 2 and mass effect 1 by far.

Look at the post icon.
It would be for 360.
Dont buy Assassins creed 2. Although i do not agree with johnlennon i think that mass effect 1 and 2 completely smash ac2. Even though i havn't played ME2 yet but all the reviews/what people are saying is that it is better then the first and the first was great.
AC 2 on pc from what i have heard has also got really shit DRM (Digital Right managment). I am not sure if this is correct but i heard that you need to be online connecting to the ubisoft server at all times otherwise it won't let you play. Also if you lose connection to them, even it is their fault it kicks you from the game without saving.
If none of this is true can someone post it and i will just snip wats not true lol.
Please refer to the bottom half of the post above yours, Stinkfire.
Worth a rent. You'll play it like once more after you finish it maybe.

Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 are ultimately better. Get those.
I suggest AC2, I played it and beat it on the PS3 and found it to be a huge improvement over the first.
However, you should definitely pick up Mass Effect 2 as well.

I agree with this post.

Well I wouldn't want to pick up 2 without picking up 1. So are you saying AC2+ME1, or ME1+2?
Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2

I'm suggesting you just buy all of them, it's rather hard to decide since all of those games were excellent.
If you're going to get ME1 you should pick up the sequel.
ME1 and ME2 are some of the best RPGs in a while.

Isn't much of a series...yet, is it?
I say Mass Effect 1/2 first. AC2 is fun but it's the type of game you finish and let it rot. Mass Effect has alot of replayability and not so much from AC.
Totally.
No if you want to be some dumb italian running a jumping everywhere then play mario and imagine he has a knife
I would rent it.
I beat it within a couple days of renting the game.
I enjoyed ac2 for awhile then it gets boring :\ i liked it though. Never started mass effect. I have it on steam though (got it for 5$ on holiday sale ^^)
AC2/ME1.
I personally didn't find Mass Effect 1 and 2 that fun. They just didn't draw me in.
Eh, I'd recommend you get all 3. They're all fantastic game experiences vastly different in their own ways from the ones that precede them(Me2 and AC2 changed a lot). In the end, just get them all on the 360, they all work, and look great on there.
Assassins Creed II was amazing, real davinci code esque story behind the main story, solving puzzles, less repetitive side quests than the first. I enjoyed it so much more.

AC2 is worth it

is not repetitive
It is very repetative. Just takes longer to set in.
Assassin's Creed 2 is awesome, but both Mass Effect games are way too good to pass up.
Mass Effect 1 & 2 all the way.

Okay, well it may be repetitive, I'm not sure, but is it repetitively awesome?
No
AC2 doesn't have enough replayability. I wish I rented instead of bought it.
Get ME1 & 2
Only get the second one on Console
it's a thousand times better than the original BUT the PC version is more or less going to be a horrible port anyway, and even if not, there's going to be that crappy DRM forcing you to constantly stay connected to the internet or else no saving for you
Why hassle yourself, just go for Console
AC2 is like GTA4, after spending nearly 40 hours addicted to it, it loses it's shine and is only fun in short doses later on, But always fun to come back to
