Does anyone still play this these days? I haven't seen a populated deathmatching server in months, just the same shitty TSRP servers from days of yore (Admittedly I did TSRP though). Love to game with someone.

I find DM matches of 8-12 players every now and then, so it isn't fully dead. Besides perhaps someone could open a Lets play thread, and get some people together to play some good old fashion deathmatch?
I play it a bit, assuming there's any decent servers. Pretty damn cool.

I'd have to disagree. The RPing is what made The Specialists for me.
There was a source mod in development but it looks like it's been abandoned.

The RP brought a lot of people to the game, actually, and could be what kept it alive for as long as its been around. Personally I started playing The Specialists to role-play, then got into the deathmatching. The issue now is that there aren't any half-decent role-play servers, and everyone that did deathmatch has long given up.

It got dropped real quick when they realized how hard it would be. Besides, ignoring graphics, the bulk of Source's attractiveness, so far as I can opinionate, is in its physics engine. And a game with physics-breaking stunts doesn't really compute with this.
We should do a Lets Play. I'll have to reinstall the game anyway since it won't allow me to connect to any server, even one I create, so.
This game was excellent. Now there aren't any servers except for like 2 grand royale finale with cheese's on ts_lobby which are filled with people who have obviously been playing for years
I loved this mod, pity nobody plays anymore.
