I was going through some junk in my attic and i saw my old SNES and my favorite game of all time. Chrono trigger. So i plugged it into my tv. Popped chrono trigger in. It still had all my saved games to. I remember i beat it 4 times and got to lvl 99 with ayla so she has her upgraded fists. When i loaded my game i was at the save point right before rust tyrano. I beat him and i remembered how fun the game was. So i sat there all night just playing the game. I got to the inner lavos core save point. By then it was almost 2 in the morning. I had no idea i was playing for that long. So i saved and went to bed. Chrono Trigger is my all time favorite RPG. I've finished it around 5 times.
Hello Facepunch, Today I found a game in a place in my house where you store stuff.
Chrono Trigger is such an excellent RPG that I've finished it 21 times, all with different endings.
Great game. Shame it was never released in Europe.
Never heard of this game before, I guess I just am too young, is it any good?

Hm, my friend has lots of old SNES games, perhaps I'll borrow it from him then.
Hm, my friend has lots of old SNES games, perhaps I'll borrow it from him then.
Do it. It's great. I'm thinking of playing through the DS port.
I have always wanted to play this based off the reviews it got, but I don't have a SNES to play this D: (or a DS for that matter)
Great game. Shame it was never released in Europe.
DS version in Europe. One of the absolute greatest games ever. I wish I had the OP's Snes and Game.
I love you.
I played it with a snes emulator on the ipod touch, didn't beat it though.
I think i might get a DS just so i can get the DS version of chrono trigger. For those who have it is there any difference at all?
Chrono Trigger for the DS has the added anime cutscenes and extras from the PS1 port of the game, along with retranslation of the scripts (good in some cases, odd in others), a monster arena (with multiplayer capabilities), and [sp]a new endgame dungeon that cheaply ties into Chrono Cross, the PS1 sequel/successor, with a recolored and beefed up Lavos Shell that's renamed to Dream Devourer and a new, rushed ending[/sp]. EDIT: Oh, and there's two control schemes in the DS version now; the classic 'select an option' via the buttons, and using the touch screen to choose things instead. There's also probably other things i've forgotten about, or details about the described additions that I don't remember or know of, but if you have never played Chrono Trigger before and you want to, DS is the definitive version (the extra content of the PS1 version with the speed and lack of loading times from the SNES version); cheapest too, since your best bet with finding the SNES or PS1 versions is probably Ebay.
Great game.Love it.
I'm probably going to buy the Chrono Trigger DS one soon enough, I really want to play with the new stuff. :v:
The new stuff in the DS one is pretty tacked on to be honest. The core game is still exactly the same and still masterful. Having access to the music player on the go is awesome though. What a soundtrack.
