THIS MACHINE SPITS ON BF-109S AND SHITS ON YAKS. IT'S TIGHT TURN RADIUS AND IMMENSE ARMAMENT MAKE IT A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH, EVEN IN A MiG-15 War Thunder is an MMO under development by Gaijin entertainment that covers the timeline from the 1930's to the Korean War. Currently, the game is in OPEN BETA and only consists of air combat. Ships will be added after release and tanks will be implemented later. GAME MODES: Arcade Battles Arcade battles are played on one of two servers, either RU with Russians that don't speak a word of English, fly jets and Yaks, and chase after biplanes, making the game's dogfights reminiscent of youth soccer, or EU with Europeans that are slightly better pilots and are not as "easymode" as the Russians. However easy prey the Russians may be, Russian team mates could be as hazardous to you as the enemy. Ground Strike Players attack ground targets until the enemy team's tickets are depleted, resulting in a victory. Airfield Domination Exactly like Domination in any other game. But with airplanes and more frustrating. Historical Battles Axis vs. Allies, more realistic controls than Arcade. Full-Real Battles Pretty much IL-2 with beefier modern graphics. Damn, was in the middle of making one. But anywho, did anyone get into that rain fight? Was playing lonely island and it was raining for once. It was simply awesome.
I'm still playing this game even though I claimed I would go on hiatus a day or two ago. No matter how much this game can piss you off at times, it keeps sucking you back in.
Played it for the first time today, only negative thing I found that I can't change my password. I'm currently LVL 2 and I'm flying with American planes only because I want to unlock the F86. Anyone has some tips and tricks for the game?

As far as tips, use your flaps and zoom in when your shooting when you're at medium-long ranges it really helps with your accuracy.

A I-153 out dived my (tier 3) hurricane, and actually closed on me afterwards. A biplane, overtaking a monoplane. So... how do I beat that?
MESSERSCHMITT! [thumb]http://i-moc.com/wallpaper/2013/01/messerschmitt-bf-109-1024x768-hd-wallpaper.jpg[/thumb] SPITFIRE! [thumb]http://images.motorcycle-usa.com/PhotoGallerys/Spitfire_-_3.jpg[/thumb] KITTYHAWK! [thumb]http://strikefighterconsultinginc.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/P-40_KITTYHAWK_Wallpaper__yvt2.jpg[/thumb] AND (the real) MUSTANG! [thumb]http://www.armchairgeneral.com/wordpress/wp-content/image/2008/specialfeatures/flyingheritagecollection/p-51-mustang.jpg[/thumb] With these forces combined, he is THE WEIRDASS BRITISH PREMIUM MUSTANG [thumb]http://www.mardona.org/gallery/d/6090-2/DSCF5079.JPG[/thumb] Just look at the details. Middle part of the fuselage is from P-51. The canopy is from the Kittyhawk. The wings are off a BF-109. The nose is from a Spitfire. lolololololol (I know it is the actual experimental/early Mustang, but it's just lol)
We need the Seafire, some variants could have a few bombs and rockets unlike the Spitfire.
Seafires are on the release tree though, so I wouldn't be too worried.
thread is back, I can flyyy ;) also the game got recently Greenlight on STEAM
hey anyone got stats on how many bombs it takes to kill ships?
Many :v: More than four 500lbers, if that help at all.
Destroyers sink to a single 500kg I don't know about Battleships, Cargo Ships, and Carriers though.
ahh, neat, i figure a SBD's bombload will sink a destroyer? [editline]27th February 2013[/editline] cargo ships should be pretty weak, weaker than destroyers im pretty sure
iirc an sbd carries a 1000 on the centerline, so yes.
--> pillbox A 500kg bomb, Direct hit is needed, other wise at least 1000kg of near hits. --> carrier/battleship at least a 1500kg to the center deck, near the bridge. otherwise 2,000kg of hits anywhere else on the boat (if you set the bomb delay to 2 seconds you are more likely to kill it as the bomb penetrates the ship and explodes inside) --> destroyer at least a 250kg to the bridge, one 500kg, or two 250kgs will kill as well. --> light / medium tanks a 100kg will deal with these, you CAN kill these tanks with a 50kg bomb, But it must DIRECTLY hit the top of the tank. Rockets can kill this as well. --> heavy tanks at least a 100kg direct hit, 250kg works best. Rockets require direct hits or very close near misses, --> AAA 10kg+ you can use guns to take these out. Rockets of any sort work on these. --> armored car 50kg bomb plus, again guns work too. Rockets of any sort work on these. --> AA truck 50kg bomb plus, again guns work too. Rockets of any sort work on these. --> Patrol Boat 50kg bomb plus, again guns work too. Rockets of any sort work on these. --> Cargo ship 3 100kg bombs, or at least 4 rockets. --> airfield REQUIRES EXACTLY 16,500 KG OF HIGH-EXPLOSIVES! They must at least be 250 LB/100kg.
Seems pretty accurate to me.
QUICK, what can a british torpedo kill? im in a battle with a sword fish now
destroyer, cargo ship
when you've ran out of planes, do you have to spectate the rest of the battle in order to gain xp and lions? or can you just quit
when you've ran out of planes, do you have to spectate the rest of the battle in order to gain xp and lions? or can you just quit
You can quit.
If you quit you don't get any awards though I think.
If you quit you don't get any awards though I think.
Awards are applied after the battle ends I believe.
Damn, was in the middle of making one. But anywho, did anyone get into that rain fight? Was playing lonely island and it was raining for once. It was simply awesome.
Nope but had disco harbor attack. I'm also taking a break, I shouldn't have to shoot up a YAK enough to destroy 2 B17's just to wound it.
Disco Harbour is terrible. Those searchlights keep blinding you. :v:
Unlocked the P40 today :D
i fucking love the beaufighter
still waiting on those american jets
Mig15 all day erry day
Jet users are dicks. Seriously, if I ever get a jet, I'll have it with me just in case there'll be enemy jets so I could try to take care of them. No jets, not going to field it at all. Good guy Bobby.
Disco Harbour is terrible. Those searchlights keep blinding you. :v:
I rather enjoy a spotlight shining upon you, makes it feel...realistic? Not sure if they're that blinding in reallife but atleast it works both ways.
Haven't played this game in a few months. Is the economy and matchmaking still broken? I got pretty sick of fighting Migs in my early BF109's and ME-410's.
I rather enjoy a spotlight shining upon you, makes it feel...realistic? Not sure if they're that blinding in reallife but atleast it works both ways.
They are that blinding in real life, it's been described as a "white-out" when one shines right on it.
