Basically, I can't enable Creative X-Fi or EAX or set the audio quality to high/ultra or else the game will either CTD or freeze during loading forcing me to reboot the computer. I am so fed up with this buggy piece of shit game and its conflicts with X-Fi which ironically is one of the only games I know and own that fully supports it and all of its settings. I tried reinstalling drivers, reinstalling the game, and installing Alchemy and OpenAL hoping it will solve the problem but so far no luck. Can anybody who owns this game along with an X-Fi card happen to tell me how to fix this problem? I am running on the latest 1.5 patch with no mods. I was hoping to join in some Project Reality servers but this game is being fucking annoying.

I've seen people get it running perfectly fine though with X-Fi and all the bells and whistles. This game has been problem from the start ever since I had Vista but I always managed to fix it. Now I can't even play the game itself without basically disabling audio. There must be a way around this. They can't fuck up a game this bad.
