If you like simulators, driving alot, and trucking (or racing while hauling cargo).. this game is for you. Developer: Softlab-NSK Publisher: 1C Company Website: rignroll.com Release Date: Q1 2010 (it's supposed to be released in Russia first, and the US shortly after)
Players will step into the shoes of a young man in the year 2014 as he arrives in California to pursue his dreams of road domination and capture the Californian cargo transportation market. There are miles of highways to conquer and cities and towns to reach as he becomes the greatest trucker on the highways. Rig'n'Roll is a sequel to the famous games “Hard Truck” and “Hard Truck 2: King of the Road”. This time the game world is true-to-life. Gamers can race high-powered Semis along thousands miles of real Californian roads, visiting San-Francisco to San Diego, San Jose to Los Angeles. Rig'n'Roll delivers players the ultimate truck driving experience with authentic models of trucks and their interiors, completely new physics and astonishing 3D graphics among numerous features. Players will outrun their opponents to deliver cargo on time or take part in truck races to prove their professional skills, giving them the opportunity to improve their rating and authority among other drivers. Rig'n'Roll also gives gamers an opportunity to test their management skills as they establish their own cargo transportation company. Players will recruit staff and hire other drivers to work for them as they expand their business and eliminate their competitors from the transportation market. Apart from being the most accurate and innovative truck driving simulation game ever produced, Rig'n'Roll immerses players in an exciting story with an unexpected finale, making new allies and battling treacherous foes as they discover a conspiracy that will test their skills to the limit.
Epic Pictures; The makers of Rig'n'Roll actually traveled the many interstates and highways in California, pain-stakenly made everything look realistic. Get in the cab and hit the road!
I'm going to buy this just to run into minivans
Looks interesting. I'll definitely give it a go. What are the crash physics like?
It's actually kind of a novel concept... Sounds like Big Rigs, but probably better. I may be southern, but I'm not quite southern enough to be so interested in the trucking business.
it looks like arse. just sayin'
I'm sure not everyone in this forum is a trucking fan. Also this game started development around DNF, but will not suffer the same fate.
Terrible cover art.
Big Rigs 2.
I thought it said, "Ricks n' Rolls" for a minute.
Thanks for reminding me. I like ETS and 18WOS. I will have to try this out
I'm gonna try this for the sheer amount of truck crashage.

Where the fuck is downdown? Gonna' head downdown and pick up some hookers, maybe a few donuts?
What's with all these games being released with terrible graphics? Not trying to sound like a graphics whore but this is only a step up from big rigs. [editline]09:43PM[/editline] however if you can drive all over that city in freeroam-trucker-esque style I'm buying it
Sums up what I'll be doing the entire length of the game
Where the fuck is downdown? Gonna' head downdown and pick up some hookers, maybe a few donuts?
LA is a lively city. Who knows.

I want a tractor simulator. You could hold up traffic behind you going from field to field.

What's funny is that yesterday I was in a jury that convicted a long-haul trucker of assault.
Hard Truck Apocalypse: California.
I'll try the game
I want realistic crashes since this is from 1C.
I wonder if I can drive past my house....

I own the russian version or RnR. shits fun as fucking hell. Its just like my favorite trucking game, hard truck 2. which im glad it is its the hard truck 2 sequel. :D
Nitro, how's the vehicle damage?
Euro Trucker is still undefeated. [editline]08:09PM[/editline] Are the trips real-time?
Still waiting for the RnR English release. SCS Software have been shitting out the same game with a new name far too often, be good to see that this new Developer has done! (Seriously, they just released German Truck Simulator and UK Truck Simulator, both of which are the same game with different maps, which is basically a patched version of Euro Truck Sim - nothing new of any note.) [editline]t[/editline] I get my info from http://truckpol.republika.pl/
[img_thumb]http://rignroll.com/i/1-30.jpg[/img_thumb] When I see models like these, I cant help but think that the devs just went on turbosquid and picked up the most expensive truck models they could find.
