• Beginners In World Of Warcraft?

Is there room for beginners in WOW anymore? I am thinking about buying the game, but most of people are level 60+ by now. And they have few years advantage in skills also. How long will it take to get to level 60? So my question is, any point starting to play WOW now?
WoW is being made a lot more noob friendly lately, I've met plenty of people who're just starting on my alts and the lower level stuff is still quite populated. It should take you 4-5 days played time on your first toon to get to 60 (that's if you don't stay focused, personally my record is 2 days 5 hours hours) but keep in mind that 60 isn't the level cap any more, it's 80 now.
Sure, Blizzard also focuses on making WoW a nice experience for starting players. The content in the old world (Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor) is less "fun" then the expansion contents though. You can:

1. Play WoW as it is now, which is slightly boring. :v:
2. Wait until Cataclysm is released, revamping all the old world content into something better, and play then.
Cataclysm probably won't be out until Q4 this year though.
Old content is new content for new players. It won't be "the same old quests and mobs" Don't focus at leveling up as fast as you can. Just take your time and enjoy the content and perhaps read the quest text for some worthwhile lore and meaning with the quests. t may make it less of a grind. Leveling up has been made easier then it used to be. At level 15 you can level using the LFG tool that put you in instances (5 man dungeons) to kill harder then average mobs together with 4 other people from servers withing your battle group (Handful of servers) When you reach 20 / 40 you can buy 60 / 100% speed mount wich make traveling easier. For a fee, ofcourse. And at level 58 you can enter Outland. And at level 68 you can go to Northrend to quest in the "new" content. Blizzard has inplented a system that let new level 80 to catch up with other players. You can do "Heroic dungeons" aka HC's to get emblems used to buy up to date gears letting you do harder content that people still clear, letting you gear up for active raid content. This is to support new players as well as alts so they don't get stranded at level 80 with bad gears and no way to get good enough gear to join in with up to date content. tl;dr: It's never too late to start playing wow
it would help if you can find a freind that already plays world of warcraft to recruit you this will earn you tripple experiance so that will speed up leveling dramatically, if you don't know anybody that plays WoW already i'm sure there will be somebody here that might be willing to recruit you, myself included.
If you are starting playing with your friends, use Recruit-a-Friend service. If you don't want to use it, you are an idiot wasting time. Also, it's no big deal to start now. Sure, you are unfamiliar what was the thing back in the days and that, but they aren't relevant anymore. Stick to up-to-date stuff, plan things, do smart moves. Be good.

Also no one cares for you so you're wrong.
Fine. Let him play months straight to lvl70 or so, when he could just spend 2 weeks leveling
Fine. Let him play months straight to lvl70 or so, when he could just spend 2 weeks leveling
Months for 70? Please. First time or not, months for 70 is bad. A month would be okay though.

Whatever. I just think RaFing is the way to go, since it's just an option which you can choose at no cost, and it speeds up leveling a lot! You'll get to lvl60 in no time, and then you go through 60-80 normally, so you should get a pretty decent idea how to play your class. You can also read shit off the internets, like here, so you learn more about your class.

I'm barely 42 in two weeks :colbert:
My 2 friends used RaF, the one who started to play had no idea how to play his class at 60...

What kind of a moron would actually play the game just to relax and have fun, without doing the endgame stuff? What a fucking retard he would be. ☻
Imo you should let the guy level at his own speed without RAF and only help them if they ask you to. You got to make your own mistakes and learn from them in this game.

He's the best damn player I've seen, shit did you see his arena rating? No wonder it's retarded to level, you have to arena!!!
Not gonna lie. Arena is much more fun than leveling.
Hah, yeah. But it's kinda hard to compare. Leveling is something you gotta do, and once you do it you can't go back. And you have to do it in order to play Arena in the first place.
