Hello.
Lately I've been experiencing very high latency (ranging from 600-1000ms) for no apparent reason.
It all began yesterday all of a sudden and I haven't changed any settings of any sort in-game, nor in my router, nor in my firewall or anywhere else that could cause the problem.
While playing other games online, such as MW2 or CSS, I'm experiencing cool latencies like I always do. YouTube videos load in great speed like they use to.
I tried www.pingtest.net yesterday to see if I had a lot of packet drops or something, but no, everything is just fine. It's only World of Warcraft.
It seems to have appeared after the ninja update Blizzard applied where you had to download something small yesterday or the day before yesterday I don't recall.
Anyone else experiencing this or anyone know what to do?
I'm not sure which info to include, if any, but feel free to yell at me and I'll grab the required information.
got this, annoying as fuck, phone your ISP and say you're experiencing packet loss and they enable some filter or something

Lots of people have been having the exact same thing since that patch.
Most threads on the support forum are about this exact thing.

Yes, I just saw this.
On the other hand, however (which is also what worries me):

Blizzard announced that the patch didn't change anything network related, but as we both see many people are experiencing trouble, and from what I can see from the traces people posted in another thread, a great part of them is from Denmark - which is where I happen to live, too.
The patch did not change anything clientside. The server side patches aren't at the same time as the client patches, so they might have fucked something up serverside.
That could very well be the reason, yes. I'm just hoping for a fix sometime soon as it is rarely playable in these conditions.
I have been experiencing this too. My latency would be normal, and then jump up to 1600ms.
I'm from Denmark too, and can confirm the random latency spikes at my house and two of my friends houses, each with different ISP.
It seems I'm not alone after all. I was ready to thrash the router and buy a new.
Let's hope Blizzard fix this soon.
