Hello! Welcome to the Dungeon Defenders. Dungeon Defenders is a strategy/tower defense/grind/thing developed and published by TrendyEnt. http://dungeondefenders.com/ DUNGEON DEFENDERS II HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED, NOW WITH A CORNY TRAILER PRE-ALPHA FOOTAGE What is Dungeon Defenders? Dungeon Defenders is a 1-6 (sometimes) player co-op tower defense, sort of. You control one of the various heroes available, equip yourself with pets, armor, weapons, and weird trinkets that are too rare to be worth your time. Where can I get it? You can get it on Steam or the XBOX Live Arcade (get it on steam, it gets updated a lot more) What is Dungeon Defenders II? DDII is the next installement in the DD series recently announced, again by Trendy. This time around, they added a large focus on MOBA style gameplay that they introduced with the Summoner class for DDI. Not much else is known, you can check out the media and shit on the website. Talk about doing missions, trading, and everything related to DD here!
How the christ do you defeat the mega cupids on that Love Castle thing? It's not possible
you obviously need to run more nmhc survival runs until wave 40 that is the only way to win in this damn game
DLC Defenders: Power Creep Boogaloo
They're going the MOBA route. So that's better? I guess? Eeeeeh?
Moba wish persistent leveling, calling it now it's gonna crash and it's gonna crash hard.
Alongside the traditional Co-op part of the first one, which is expanded upon in the sequel. It will be 2 totally seperate modes.
Trendy has confirmed that the MOBA version and regular co-op version are completely seperate
Yes, but they're still going the MOBA route in terms of hero selection in both game modes. They'll have a rotating selection of heroes that changes weekly, which I suppose is better then the "Everything after base 4 is paid DLC" since you can unlock them with in game currency too.
Still doesn't remove the fact that they're going to pump this shit full of DLC, and pump out more and more bloated items until the game stops becoming a game and becomes a giant dickwaving contest on who has more stats on their gear.
The DLC wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be. The heroes were the only bullshit thing about DLC, as all the holiday events were free for weeks after they were released. And I believe they become free on their respective holidays too. As I said before, Eternia Shards was well worth the money for basically doubling the content of the game.
I'm pretty sure all the DLC is free if you download it during the 2 week period after the DLC's release. Besides, pretty sure they said they are setting back co-op is so they have more time to polish/tweak it, as it is the main thing.
