Sub Rosa is a simple 3 team multiplayer FPS, made by our favorite small game dev, Cryptic Sea. Yep, the makers of A New Zero and Hockey? Sub Rosa is a game about double crossing people, trying to make trades, then a roving gang of hooligans fucks everything up. Also driving terribly and crashing. Yellow team has the cocaine and wants money Blue team has the Money and wants the cocaine Grey team want to fuck up everyone's day. I'll make a banner in a bit.
Yeah, looks great. Too bad there's no servers for it.
I found a few servers for it, just had to wait for a bit, though.
I get absolute shit FPS
i do too, how does the guy in the video get amazing fps [editline]23rd June 2012[/editline] oh i just found out that if you run your own server you get a great fps (or maybe its just small amounts of players?)

I think the game uses plenty of advanced lighting techniques and shit, so that's why it runs bad. It's to bad you can barely tell that the lighting methods even exist because everything is so blocky.
Naw, the dev has said that the FPS problems are from crappy network code. A workaround is to manually limit the program to running on 1 CPU (in Windows Task Manager > Set Affinity). Version 0.04 will be out soon - with ties and suits!
I hope the grey spawn gets moved. Because it's quite close to the blue spawn (and can bottleneck the routes out of the blue spawn somewhat easily while they sort out moving the money), they tend to rush blue every round.
Big update out, 32 player servers, bleeding, hugely updated map (hills, factory, cars in parking lots???), and scoring was updated too. (grey wins if everyone looses, gold/blue scoring also takes points away from the other's score) also are you ready for this make sure you're sitting A BLUE CAR
any servers?
Ugh fuck. So I'm on a euro server and it's kinda laggy. Bad enough. I get into my first round on gold team BAM gunned down as soon as I spawn, guy then leaves server. Sit out the round. Round 2: get to trade zone with blue team, fake trade and go to leave: suddenly blue team guy starts gunning everyone down, me included (first to die infact) leaves server. Why?
Playing now, names "Bill Murray". On the 'NomNomNation" server
I will play with you, Creeper.
Well, being one of two servers. Somebody had to end up on it. Well, a third server popped up while I was playing, the Facepunch server.

I could only see 3, all with 300+ ping. It's not bad, but the game gets choppy (lag wise) as with loads of people. Also, Sam. You considered lengthening your round time a bit? We kept running out.
I was playing in the FP server for a bit, besides TKing anything else you guys had problems with?
Nope, but when you alt tab it glitches out which is a little annoying if I need to access something.
I was playing in the FP server for a bit, besides TKing anything else you guys had problems with?
Always nice when devs check out FP. Besides the Alt-Tabbing. My only problem is choppy animation/movement when at high playercounts, though that may just be a lag issue. Edit: Mouse cursor lags too. :/
Also, make default round times longer. [editline]11th July 2012[/editline]
Always nice when devs check out FP. Besides the Alt-Tabbing. It happens to me too, not too choppy but it is pretty choppy.
I was playing on the FP server then the game crashed, and when I launched it back up the FP server is gone. This happening for anyone else?
It's gone, go to the midwest one.
Good games on the Midwest server, but then it filled up and and play positions changed once every third of a second, hate that. :/
I'm having such a hard time figuring this game out. Is A, B, C, and D just reference points so one can say "I'm near B!" and people know what he's talking about?
Whibble, I told you like 3 times. Hit Tab, look at the map. Enterable buildings are marked with letters. Also, that second to last round was great. The whole blue team was dead, gold had all the goods except a single wad of cash. We spent ages checking around looking for it, we were convinced we were the last alive. Then we find a load of dead blues at C and get jumped by greys, and I manage to single handedly take out the last 3 greys.
I'm not questioning WHERE they are, or how to use the map, I'm asking what PURPOSE they serve. They're not secondary capture points or anything, they're just reference points, yes?
yes
okay thanks.
Oh god, people can't balance fucking teams. Sick of it.
It get's pretty bad lol
