What is it?
star Fox Adventures is an action-adventure video game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube as part of the Star Fox series. It was released in North America on 23 September 2002, Japan on 27 September 2002, Australia on 15 November 2002 and Europe on 22 November 2002. It was the final game developed by Rare for a Nintendo home video game system, before the company was acquired as a first-party developer for Microsoft's Xbox division. It is the third game in the series, succeeding Star Fox 64.
Gameplay
Star Fox Adventures uses a similar gameplay engine as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Its graphics were very sophisticated for its time, receiving particular attention for its real-time fur rendering. Like Ocarina of Time, Star Fox Adventures has a day-and-night phase, but a more accurate and gradual one. Also, a language called Dino (later known as Saurian) is used in concept similar to that of the Al Bhed language in Square Co.'s Final Fantasy X, except that the letter Y is used only in proper nouns. The game also has a widescreen mode, designed for widescreen television sets.
Who remembers / played / still plays this thing? IMO one of the best gamecube titles due to the variety of gameplay features and experimentation with the star fox franchise.
First I was all: "what no guns?" And then I was like: *thwack*
took me ages to beat this game was a good game tho, not as good as star fox 64, but still
took me ages to beat this game was a good game tho, not as good as star fox 64, but still
It was a really longggg game,, and although slightly comparable to star fox 64, they are two worlds apart and therefore not that comparable to one another.
First I was all: "what no guns?" And then I was like: *thwack*
tbh i never got the wtf no guns feeling because the staff and the fire shooting from the get go seemed much more natural for fox for some really strange reason.
I was pissed when I couldn't fly everywhere and blow shit up in my Arwing all the time. Then the final battle made up for all of it.

They need to revive this series. I heard the 3DS is getting a StarFox 64 remake. Only reason to get 3DS.

I think Nintendo should stop using "time" betwen the StarFox games. When I speak of "time", I speak of exact numbers. Already we have Peppy getting old and replaced, etc. Think of it. Does Mario ever follow time? For all we know, Mario Sunshine could have taken place a day after Mario 64, and three weeks after that was the Mario Galaxy/Galaxy 2 game. Time works for Zelda because the games are just adventures that revolve around "a young hero who sets out to save hyrule". Not all the games connect. Same with the metorid series. Metorid uses the same mechanic in a way. The Prime Trilogy, Fushion series (GBA games), etc. The idea of seeing the Lylat System (as well as other locations) in constant war doesn't seem bad. At the same time however, they shouldn't make the Cornerian and other armed forces seem so damn weak.
