Added the *beta* ability in Xfire In-Game to control iTunes and Windows Media Player. Press Scroll Lock + M to try it out.
FUCK YES
Why add something you can do already, you just assign a hotkey, unless people are really lazy.
I am Lazy.
It's not "in game" you can just control it without alt-tab
It's still not enough to make me use it :colbert:
I see no point to this.
Global hotkeys have been around for a while now.
Wow, INGAME MUSICf, that's a great thing to have.
Nobody uses Xfire
Apart from people that have never heard of Steam.
The only thing I use Xfire for is to broadcast my games. Other than that, yeah it's pretty useless.
I don't see why communities like Battlefield haven't transitioned to Steam yet. Well, the Steam Overlay is recognized by PunkBuster as a cheat program. So, when they fix that they have no reason.
I've seen CS:S clans use xfire
Xfire is useful as a server browser.

I play BF2 using the steam shortcut :/
I use the steam version and it kicks me every time I join a server for having some "Illegal driver/program" and when I turn off Steam In-Game Overlay it goes away
I am Lazy.
All of us are.

I use the steam version and I have 0 problems.
Nobody uses Xfire
I still use xfire sometimes, to take pictures but that's mostly it.
I still hate its ability to rarely even pick up In-Game though.
still not enough to make me go to the clunky as shit UI and game breaking client
I use the steam version and I have 0 problems.
This is saddening, my friend and I have the same issue.
Nobody uses Xfire
"True point." I may add. Most people move on with ICQ/MSN or Steam. I still let XFire autostart and add up all my hours of gameplay nerdiness, though I don't really use it for communication.

Alt + PrtScrn

:raise:
I play 2142 through steam
note: mine is retail
Maybe its a server thing
I hate XFire.
ill stop using xfire only when steam overlay has a clock
I use xfire so I don't have to manually add every game I want to steam. Auto-detection is a nice thing.
Apart from people that have never heard of Steam.
I use both. :eng101:
Xfire is actually just to keep track of all my game's hours and take screenshots/videos in all games. Xfire's store is horrible and it will never replace Steam.
But I just used my keyboard's media keys to control WMP anyway.
I only use xfire as a server browser. Other than that, the steam overlay is better.
Xfire's voice chat quality is pretty awesome too.
