Whenever I start it up, the entire map is extremely bright, like nearly everything is a blinding white. People have told me to use the mat_fullbright command, and ENABLING it turns off the extreme brightness, but leaves the room with this unnatural white color on the walls, as if there was no brightness anywhere. I'd put up some pictures that I took, but I don't know how to do that, I'm still pretty new to Facepunch. If someone has been experiencing a similar problem, let me know and also tell me if there's some sort of solution for it that you know of.
Turn off Bloom
To upload a picture (the easy way) make sure you took a jpeg screenshot. When you have, go to [URL="http://www.imageshack.com"]www.imageshack.com[/URL] or a similar image hosting site, and upload the image. When you have it uploaded, take the URL it'll give you (not the URL it redirects you to, though) and paste it into the reply box. Then when you have the image URL pasted, by [img] tags around it. So it should look something like this. [noparse] [img]http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/7308/jarate.png[/img] [/noparse] [B]Edit:[/B] The screenshots you take will be in your game directory\game name\screenshots So for Portal it would be [B]\portal\portal\screenshots\[/B] For TF2 it's [B]Team Fortress 2\tf\screenshots[/B] etc, etc.
[QUOTE=IrishBandit;23319446]Turn off Bloom[/QUOTE] My Bloom is off, I've tried in both the highest qualities my computer can reach and the lowest qualities my computer can reach, there is no change.

The problem has been there for as long as I can remember. There's a fix, I think, but the only place is somewhere deep in the mAL forum. I'll search for it. [editline]09:57PM[/editline] Here's the thread - [url]http://myaperturelabs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=188&p=811&hilit=playground#p811[/url] It seems the only way to make this not so bad is to turn the brightness down, or to change the gamma of the screen.
Just found the solution a few minutes ago. You have to set the High Dynamic Range to Full and turn on Bloom too. Kind of weird if you ask me, but it works...
