Why does Gamestop have so many problems with subtitles?

I've been buying some games from Gamestop lately (mainly the used ones, since you can get some good deals there). I bought Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and Phoenix Wright: Justice for All. Of course, both of these have subtitles to them. The day after I bought those games I had to go back to get the actual game I was wanting.

Now, my question is, how do you mess that up? Have the workers never played a game where there was a subtitle?

They were used, so they probably didn't have the original box, so the new one wasn't labeled correctly.
