I used to love playing games like mario party and mario kart, I don't have a console anymore I just have a laptop so I'm looking for a game that is somewhat similar to those but is turn based and can be played easily on a TV through an HDMI cord. I love the whole board game layout in mario party thats what kind of game I'm looking for is one that has a board game kind of feel to it. I've been googling free family fun pc games but all i get is stupid arcade games that last 30 minutes and then your done. I want a game that we can save our characters or profiles and get back to it. Does anyone know of any games like this?

Plants vs Zombies is really fun! Family friendly too, nothing unsuitable.

Any PC game that has a board game feel to it and isnt a 2-D knock off of a real board game. Also personal profiles would be cool.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 - 3. 3 Platinum Is the easiest to get though, and has all the expansions.
This isn't turn-based but Rayman: Origins is great fun as a family game. Unfortunately I can't think of anything similar to Mario Party on PC. I mean there's always emulators, but that's legally questionable.
