[i]I am Andrew Ryan, and I'm here to ask you a question. Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? 'No!' says the man in Washington, 'It belongs to the poor.' 'No!' says the man in the Vatican, 'It belongs to God.' 'No!' says the man in Moscow, 'It belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture, a city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be bound by petty morality, Where the great would not be constrained by the small! And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well. Plot Summary The game begins with a plane going down somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. Everybody aboard the plane is killed, except for Jack (The character you control through the entire game.) Jack discovers the entrance to the ruins of the underwater "utopia gone wrong" called Rapture. Upon entering the city, he meets a man named Atlas via a short wave radio. With Atlas' assistance Jack learns where he is, and tries to escape the City of Rapture. Plot Summary Bioshock 2 is set 8 years after Bioshock, in 1968. You take control of Subject Delta, one of the first Big Daddies ever created. You find that Rapture is now under the control of Sofia Lamb, who believes in collective effort and the power of the community, a sharp contrast from Andrew Ryan, who was the Founder of the City. Throughout the game, Delta encounters many people, including some familiar faces from the first game, who aid him in his journey to rescue his Little Sister Eleanor, for if he does not, a failsafe device designed to trigger if he strays too far from his Little Sister will activate, killing him. Multiplayer Bioshock 2 is the first game in the series to incorporate a multiplayer mode. The multiplayer part of this game focuses on a prequel experience, pitting player against player as plasmid test subjects prior the fall of Rapture. Players take on the role of plasmid test subjects for Sinclair Solutions. It takes place in 1959, a year before the events of the first game. There are "story elements" and certain new plasmids that can only be used in multiplayer. Some levels are set in partly recognizable areas from the first game, but set before the fall of rapture and thus in a more serene light. Players must unlock experience points to unlock new weapons, tonics, and plasmids to customize characters. The film was set to be directed by Gore Verbinski, director of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, but because of budget issues, and the prospect of filming some footage overseas, Verbinski has dropped out as director. The news was made public on 24 August, 2009. He will, however, remain the film's producer. Instead, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who is best known for his horror sequel 28 Weeks Later, is in talks to helm the production. ________________________________________ More Bioshock? It is rumored that the Bioshock franchise was promised two additional sequels/prequels, bringing the total number of games in the franchise up to five. ________________________________________ Please let me know of anything you would like to see added to the OP,and your opinons on how/if I could make it better.
I need to beat Bioshock 1.
I need to beat Bioshock 1.
You should, it's amazing.
I tried to install Bioshock 1 and it won't load any levels. I already beat it before but I want to play it again and I don't have the second one. :saddowns:
Bioshock 1 is fucking incredible. Bioshock 2 is pretty cool too.
The only Big Sister fight I thought was hard was the first one. I almost died the first time I did it, and I probably could have beat her the second time if she didn't run away.
This is a much better thread.
Bioshock was good, but I was never able to do a second play through, I felt like after that first play through there was no reason to go back a second time.
I've been playing the first one recently, and I've got a problem. I don't understand how hints work, and there aren't any goals under the goal list. WHAT THE DO I DO?
i looked at one, i'm so far in though, it's hard to find exactly where i'm at.
Look for the part you are on, then read through until you get to where you are.
I didn't like Bioshock. After the first few levels, everything just felt the same.
Forgot to add the Multiplayer to the Bioshock 2 description. It is there now.
The Bioshock franchise was promised two additional sequels/prequels, bringing the total number of games in the franchise up to five.
Where the fuck did you hear this? I thought it was a confirmed Trilogy.
Where the fuck did you hear this? I thought it was a confirmed Trilogy.
The info must have been a mistake, I'll update the OP unless I get better info.
Bioshock is one of my favorite games :P Thanks for making this :D
I cant wait to see the movie. Love that director.
I want to take the ears off, but I can't Its my curse; Its my FUCKING CURSE PLEASE LET ME TAKE THEM OFF
I'm addicted to the multiplayer. The singleplayer is rotting in a corner. I feel sorry for it, but I'm having way too much fun to care too much. [editline]12:30AM[/editline]
This is a much better thread.
What is your avatar from.
