Rising Sun is another first-person shooter, set in World War II during the Pacific War. This game features single-player and multiplayer capabilities (terminated as of November 2006). In the single-player game, the player assumes the role of Cpl./Sgt. Joseph Griffin of the United States Marine Corps. A sequel was originally planned in which players would have assumed the role of Joseph's brother Donnie. However, the sequel was canceled after Rising Sun received poor reviews.[/Release] The Soundtrack
The award winning soundtrack in Rising Sun was orchestrated by Christopher Lennertz. Michael Giacchino, composer of the soundtrack for Frontline, left to work on the soundtracks of the rivalry series Call of Duty, after which Lennertz took over. Lennertz's score received overall positive reviews.[citation needed] A promotional CD soundtrack was released for the game. Digital versions of the soundtrack were also made available and are currently for sale off of music services like iTunes.
[Release]PT Attack Passing the Nevada Singapore Docks Burma Tank March Takeoff[/Release] Pictures [Release] [/Release] To anyone who still hates this game... Where is there any other game where you fight in a baseball field, and ride on an elephant with a mounted Machine Gun?! Not in Modern Warfare 2 can you do something like that! [release]Just for the record im not glorifying this game. Just showing a game some of us loved when we were young. so no "OMG FRONTLINE WAS SOO BAADASS!!!1!!!1" This thread is only showing that this game was fun, and had good music.[/release]
This is the most epic game I have ever played!
I remember this game, pretty awesome.
I was sad when Pfc. Tanaka? Died.
I played the demo a lot. I thought the graphics were fucking amazing.
Co-op was pretty sick in this game.
Now cause of you, I have to find a used copy of this.
BROKE MAH AUTOMERGE /caps Edit: FUCK SALT
the coop owned
I still love Bromly. That smexy British accent of his.
the intro of this game was fucking awesome for me
I remember this game! It was cool, but the story made no sense. I think at one point you had to [sp] rescue your brother from some Japanese admiral [/sp] or some weird shit like that. I think I was around 13 at the time and even then I was like; why the hell does this guy hate me so much?
i hated this game
I got hit by a crashing car once. It sucked ass. [editline]08:33PM[/editline] Blackcomb don't try to be cool
haha i love this game Me and my cousin played coop and then got chased around with the guy with the sword on singapore
i hated this game
Macro macro macro!
I thought this game was awful. Now Frontline was a true master piece.
That seriously isn't Rising Sun underneath the group photos i'm sure :S Especially for Playstation 2, I remember it being a lot better looking than that?
Can we get a reason? [editline]08:49PM[/editline] Those are real.

I for one don't remember seeing that tanned Will Ferrel Mother fucker in the game.
I wasn't making this as a way of saying this is the best in the series. I made this Thread in hopes of attracting fellow lovers of this game that remember and/or own a copy of this game. Seriously when did you have to ride an elephant with a machine gun on it's back in Gears?
i always thought this looked as cool as shit. never got to play it though...
should still be a copy on PS2 I think. Gamecube possible. VERY CHEAP I think
This game was the shit, and now you made me want to play it. Sadly, I can't get to my XBox :saddowns:
I remember playing this game back in middle school. Well it's maybe for the better that video games haven't quite romanticized the Pacific as much as Normandy.
i remember having to knife a jap that was pissing
good point. Japan would be offended if there was a boom in Pacific Based WWII Shooters. That must be why Pacific games aren't as found as European games. [editline]09:11PM[/editline]
i remember having to knife a jap that was pissing
Funny, what level was that? I dont recall
I find the pacific much more interesting IMO.
