So, after seeing that tight steam UI I thought of participating.
So steam was restarting like normal, downloading to the platform, like normal.
Then it was done.
I click on Friends to see that badass UI, fail.
It basically fails with everything. So, here is what I get:

Anybody know what could be wrong?
Now of course I can switch back to normal, but I would like to have that new UI.

Well my guess is it's not downloading properly.
I tried it 3 times and it still gave me this result.
