How long will it take for my account to change from silver back to gold...

How long will it take for my Xbox live account to turn from silver to Gold after a Renewel? I'm asking this as I've just used the 1 year Cards, but I've run out of those.

It turns gold right away as soon as you redeem the card's code or as soon as you pay for a renew online.

If you mean Sign in and out and also turn it off and then back on then yes
