Need some games advice

Well, long story short I will be getting some money soon and was wondering what game I should buy that would have a long play-time and some re-playability. Preferably and rpg but Action/Adventure genres are fine.

Shadow of Chernobyl is the recommended one, but any and all of them will keep you busy.

I haven't played the first 2 but Fallout 3 was awesome from my experience.
