I have been considering wasting my life on WoW, but it would take it's toll on my paycheck. Is it that good of a game that it deserves $20 for the disc then $15 a month. ITT: Share opinons on monthly price
I think it's fine.
I personally think its worth it because of the sheer size of the game, its freaking massive and has ALOT to do, can take up alot of time and in all honesty, it will entertain you for a VERY long time, being the main thing. Also, they have to pay for there servers to be kept up, and also they do sometimes give out new content for free in patches, which keeps you doing stuff for ages :)
Not monthly prices, but all three expansions (considering you save money to get battlechest) is $70
if you can't afford $15 a month you should get a jerb
If I took the time I spent on WoW and put that towards other games I would have to spend much much more on other new games much more often.
Of course, they can constantly update the game, they perform maintenance every week and whenever else it is needed, they add new content constantly, and their customer service is actually pretty good.
There are about 5,000 quests in total. Yeah, it's worth it.
I think it's fine. You're not actually paying for the game, you're paying for the service. I actually even pay alot more per month just to get to my job every month than I pay for this game.
If you can afford it, yes. If you are low on money, no. I for one can easily afford it. Already pre-ordered my Cataclysm Collectors Edition! :v:
its fun you make friends you duel friends you kill friends i also use it to communicate with friends... while killing them.
Yes
Yeah it's worth it because it's fun. 15 bux ain't shit
There's so much to do, I feel great supporting Blizzard in continuing this to improve this great game.

At a small local gamestore, sure. You can "pre-order" stuff here when it's announced. They're great.
Even if you spend an hour a day on it, which isn't *that* much it works out way more cost effective than most other games.
It's perfectly fine, if they didn't get payed for the game, they wouldn't release as much content, or have constant maintenances.
i've played the game for like 5 years, the 15/month is much less expensive than the 60+ i'd go through if i actually enjoyed my xbox or played other pc games.
There are about 5,000 quests in total. Yeah, it's worth it.
90% of them involve killing x amount of monsters or doing fetch quests
If you enjoy WoW, I can see no reason why it would seem too much.
It's actually pretty affordable, especially if you have a job. I'd say it's worth it since they constantly update the game with new content.
yes because 15 bucks a month is like two hours of work on minimum wage in my state
Nope, not worth it.
Yes, because it takes me less than 2 hours to make the subscription fee, and I work 140 hours a month.
15 bucks a month isnt bad for a game that'll keep me entertained
I've been playing ti for years and it's kept my pretty entertained, but right now I've seen most of everything and I think I'm going to deactivate until closer to cataclysm.
depends how much use you get out of your 15 bucks, if you're one of these people that can play like 3 hours a month then no its not worth it.
No way in hell it's worth the monthly fee. That's why I just buy the cards. That way I can play it when I feel like playing it instead of having it slowly suck my social life and my funds away from me.
Its not, this game is awfull.
