Hey, I have an Intel i5-2500 3.3ghz Quad-core with 4gb DDR3 ram on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. My graphics card is 5770 1GB.
If I max it out or on minimum, I always get stutter like it's online lag.. I can max out Portal 2 easily and other games.

1) Turn off vsync if it's on
2) Defragment cache file (in properties)
3) Defragment your HDD if these two don't work
Also make sure you have latest drivers etc.

Did the defragging, I'll do the driver update though, thanks.
:( I can't do driver updates. Every time I try windows freezes up and I have to do System Restore to ever use my PC again. I'm gonna be stuck with these drivers for a while. It never did this before!
