Alien Swarm - Insane Speed Run *1:09* CHEAT (Not Hacks)

Hello, the new Valve game Alien Swarm has got many things to improve on. One of these things is the fact that there are many commands that SHOULD be filed as a cheat... Also certain non-cheat cvars have an adverse effect on the games play. With that said.... The game is EASILY exploitable... In this video me and my friends beat Landing Bay on INSANE AND get the SPEED RUN achievement with a time of 1:09 (around that). While doing this I slowed down the aliens, sped up the marines and made most of the aliens disappear from the game all through a couple cvars... These cvars clearly should be CHEATS which would make them void from being used in the game... BUT Lets have some fun with them while they haven't fixed it yet shall we :)

Oh i didnt know the movespeed command.. Wasnt the one i used but that one works better than mine... Oh well

The cvars probably aren't marked as cheats because you have to be the host to enter them in anyway. Entering in cvars as the host to affect gameplay settings is nothing new. Welcome to the Source Engine.

However many cvars still require sv_cheats to be 1 even with the host using them. This makes sense because this makes experience something that actually has to be earned instead of farmed. If cheats are on you don't get experience. Does it not seem unfair that someone could do this?
Although i still find it fun :) but it would make more sense if sv_cheats 1 was required
