Your job is to help a small group of settlers survive and carve out a place for themselves in a hostile land. You’ll need to establish a food supply, build shelter, defend your people, and find a way to grow and expand, facing challenges at every step. Starting from procedurally generated terrain with dynamic AI encounters, Stonehearth combines city sim and good old combat with infinite building possibilities. It’s built to be moddable at every level, from your city, to the people and creatures inhabiting the world, and will ship with the tools and documentation for you to add your own customizations to the game, and share them with friends. The game is equal parts Sandbox, Real Time Strategy, and RPG. We will support PC, Mac, and Linux! This kickstarter is to fund the single player version of the game. We would love to add cooperative multiplayer and PvP modes as well, and these will appear as future stretch goals.' One of the challenges is huge titans who visit your city and rape your to oblivion and back. I'm fairly sure there's already a thread on this. [editline]16th May 2013[/editline] [url]http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1268801[/url]
I checked several pages back and tried a search on google. But if there exist another thread just lock this one.
No one's posted in it for a while so I had to go back 4 or 5 pages.
Graphically I am being reminded of Cubeworld. Is it the same developers?
As far as I know Cubeworld and Stoneheart have nothing to do with each other. The developers of Stoneheart are two guys, who have previously worked in the software industry.
Aesthetically it reminds me of Ace Of Spades. (The new one) [thumb]http://mmohuts.com/wp-content/gallery/news2/ace-of-spades_screenshot_island_1.jpg?ec9f9b[/thumb] [thumb]http://stonehearth.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/outside.jpg[/thumb]
My friend and I backed this a couple of weeks ago, really hoping it hits the co-op stretch goal but it seems a given with how the campaign has been progressing.
I would like to play this if it hit the co-op stretch, this doesn't seem like a game I'd enjoy much on my own.
This is from the same guy who is doing Cubeworld? Because it looks exactly like it.
it kind of reminds me of an above ground dwarf fortress, especially those stockpiles. it looks pretty cool, I love the idea of building a castle city and defending it.
Is everything custom? As in, do you build all your buildings yourself or are they preset?
[QUOTE=Yuskolov123;40666213]Is everything custom? As in, do you build all your buildings yourself or are they preset?[/QUOTE] There are presets but you can also design your own stuff and save the blueprints.
it looks frigging amazing
I don't want to be too hasty and say ITS HAPPENING; but I saw the trailer and the first thing I thought was ITS HAPPENING.
I'm gonna pledge 50 today. YES:
Another game that looks so fun but I don't have access to money for kickstarter. So many good games coming out lately or kickstarting.
Oh wow co-op would be great.
I think we will hit $400,000 and maybe $500,000, if we are lucky.
This is something I could very well get behind.
Pledged $30
Im thinking about pleding to this as well.
