Red Faction Guerrilla Help with dx9

I bought Red Faction Guerrilla new for $20 at Bestbuy today, installed it, and updated it with all the latest patches and such. I read that you can start the game with dx9 by adding "-nod3d10" into its launcher perimeter, but I'm not sure how to do this.

Can anyone help me? Also, how can I add the shortcut of the game to Steam, and still have it start up in dx9?

Create a shortcut, go to the target path of the shortcut (right click -> properties) and put -nod3d10 after the path (outside the quotation marks).

Alternatively, add the game to Steam and use "set launch options".
