Yea. Imagine buying a gamemode for GMOD or something.
Even if I didn't create it I can still customize it, add, delete things and tweak stuff based on what peoples feedback.

It looked fun, and then I saw it was a space skinned version of those RTS ripoffs with awful wait times.
I'm trying it right now, but i'm already at the point where buildings are taking 3 - 4 minutes and premium (real money) currency is the only thing that speeds it up.

How else would you balance it? Wait times are there for a reason. I like wait times. It's not meant to be played like a real game but rather something you come back to over time.
Like most game with waiting times :P.

I understand that, but balance can be set towards costs, expansion and research rather than four year waiting times.
Rather than waiting ten minutes for a thing to build, it could take a minute, with research of aforementioned building must be done over an extended period using multiple buildings or resources so the time is extended (i.e it drains energy and crystals over twelve minutes to research).
Either way, I'm still playing it so it achieved it's goal of sucking me in.

The Darkmatter stuff were more something that was inlcluded rather than I put it in. I don't agree with in-app purchases or ads. Thats why I dont even have ads on any of my site or ask for payment on for example boxfox, imgfox.
Some people argue that ads are good and you should get money back. I like helping people, hosting stuff even it means I'm losing money. Why start a service full of ads, waiting times for download files etc, so annoying.
I'd also like to know when I'm spending my supplies. I wasted all my Deuterium because I was looking though the planets and apparently that spends it without saying anything.
Okay Swefox, first thing I have to say is that I've spent far too much time playing Space4k and Ogame to want to start again.
Second thing is, the reason I stopped playing them is because I kept getting my shit blown the fuck up which infuriated me too much.
