PS2 online was as simple as Xbox live without the complications. You click online, connect, then play. It was bliss.

I remember the big adapter that you had to put on the back of your PS2.
I wondered why there was an ethernet port on the back of my PS2, plugged a cable in and voila! Battlefield Modern Combat online!

You can still play a ton of games online. I still play SOCOM online for example.
I never played it online because way back when I didn't want to pay for that adapter.
If PS3 had PS2 online working it would be awesome
