Adding to the crazy amount of alien swarm threads, I have a problem.
I just downloaded Alien Swarm about 5 minutes ago, and as soon as I try to load the game it bumps me back to desktop. There's not even an error message like that hl2.exe thing for Gmod. Any help would be nice.
Anyone have this problem?
I'm having this problem too. It would be really nice if someone had a solution, because I really wanna try this game.

Well, I know its not a problem with my pc. I can run MW2 and Crysis at the highest settings with no problems. Ive looked around on google, and it seems like a shit-ton of people are having issues starting the game.
I had this problem, and it somehow fixed itself when I set my language for non-unicode programs to Japanese.
