• Borderlands: Is it really a good game?

I'm headed up near my local GameStop tomorrow, and I have some money to burn. I figure I might get Borderlands for my XBox 360. Is it really all it's cracked up to be?
Its fun if you have friends to play it with Single-player got a little boring for me however
I've seen a lot of things that were something about creating weapons for Borderlands. I think, anyways. Can someone give me some specifics about the pros and cons of the game? Or a synopsis? Any would be much appreciated.
It's not a good game, but it's fun as hell with friends.
Like others have said, it's fun with friends but can get boring quick. Just be warned, the final boss fights of it and most of the DLC's are pathetic.
good, but maybe not worth buying
For DLCs: First one: Shit Second one: Shitacular Third one: Required for game to have a boss that doesn't suck.
Everyone says it's fun with friends, and that sucks for me because I don't have XBL. Is it still worth the money? [editline]01:48AM[/editline] Sounds like it's not worth the money, so now to change the subject of the thread. Can someone recommend a good war game? Don't say and CoD. I have them all.
If you're not playing with friends it is NOT worth it. It's shockingly bland and very repetative.

The Outfit is cheap, and a lot of fun.
I don't really look for online play in war games. I use them for inspiration, as I write stories. I love to play the campaign, and a local multiplayer is a bonus. I prefer the modern to near future. Any help for the helpless noob? [editline]02:00AM[/editline] I'll just spend some time browsing the ever amazing wall of games. I realized I'm breaking rules with this entire thread. Mod, please lock.
Yes, its a great game. Even better if you have someone to play split-screen or multiplayer with.
Get Bad Company 1, it had a really cool story to it, and better than the sequel's.
Dynasty Warriors 6 is hella fun if you don't mind how they butchered the characters and you enjoy slaughtering entire armies by yourself.

It's a great game with friends.

You really should get Borderlands, even though you don't have XBL, because you can play split-screen with friends (you do have friends, right?). Sure, it's not much of exploring. But I tell you that it's fun as hell, especially with a friend coming over. I think that you should get it, but not many people at Facepunch likes it, so I believe you won't come to any other conclusion than 'No' if you ask here. As for other war games, I don't know much.

My little brother would probably have fun running around the world while I try to kill him.
Great with friends. Gets boring towards the end as single player because it's just running around killing shit.
Game sucked.
It was a pretty awesome game. You'll have fun all the way through your first playthrough, and if you make it through the second, it only gets better with the General Knoxx DLC.
I think it's really, fun, I enjoyed both playthroughs and Zombie Ned and General Knoxx, but Mad Moxxie's is utter, utter shit. Ignore it, but get thr others.
About halfway through it gets really boring but gets better near the end then the end is complete shit Also playing on your own is boring and you will ALWAYS find inappropriate weapons
It gets old very fast
I liked borderlands, both singleplayer and co-op, singleplayer taken in right doses can be pretty fun but co-op is where it's at.

I love borderlands. It never got boring for me, still play it, love the thrill of finding a new epic weapon.
The play is repetitive, but I enjoy shooting the heads off of midgets
I decided to just reserve the new Medal of Honor and Call of Duty. Thanks for the opinions though.
