This is a Modern Warfare 2 question. What is your definition of quick scoping? Ive played with a lot of people and opinions seem to be mixed between "Barely bringing the scope up but not looking into it" and "Bringing up the scope and looking into it for less than 1/2 second/s"
Personally, I use the second method and only some people complain that it is heart scoping.
I prefer the old cs instant scope followed by a boom headshot.

Actually it's a really use full skill to have when you are in a CQC situation and when there are multiple enemies around you. Screw secondaries

With multiple enemies around you, dunno about you but i'd be dead, screw quick scoping, they have automatic rifles and smgs
I just hate when people think they're "1337" and "pr0" when they do it.
I mainly do it on private matches when messing around with friends, or in normal matches when we're all either riot shielding to block the enemies path and trap them in corners or just to see how funny we can make the game, don't really take mw2 seriously anymore.

I just hate it when quick scopers scream "HEART SCOPER!" when a regular guy is just trying to snipe regularly. Its like they think quick scoping is the only kind of sniper rifle use.

Most 12 year olds I hear usually shout hard scoped or something with hard scoping in it, not heart.
INB4 shitstorm of mw2 haters. But onto your question, quickscoping is getting the scope up to the point when your reticle(spelling ftw) is the point in the middle of your scope. That point actually is before the scope view comes up, so looking through it may be considered hardscoping. I go for drag/waitshots, they are safer and people dont rage onto you.
Yeah I usually end up drag scoping for less than a second.
best thing to do on mw2 to make it less shit, get a full team, all of the team run around with riot shields, one of my mates was literaly crying with laughter cause we was all chasing one guy.

No-scoping and quick-scoping is just luck and abuse of the aiming system. Speaking of quick-scoping, I remember in an MW2 thread a while back that someone said that they're brother was a professional quick-scoper for the British army or some shit like that. Hahahahahahaha

I believe this makes the most sense. But I don't believe I qualify for most of what is said because unlike those idiots, I actually try to snipe. Quick scoping only comes in handy if I'm too lazy to switch to a secondary or I'm in a low to medium range combat with the enemy.

I admit, that in times of panic I have tried to quick-scope or no-scope in hope to dear god that it hits the person who is about to stab my ghillied ass. But it is the people who actively TRY to do it that piss me off.

Quick scoping only works on XBox 360 due to the incredible amounts of autoaim. It's much more difficult on PC.
