Patch 1.1.0
Personally Im thinking of leaving the game..
/discuss
yes because we all know exactly what was contained in this patch :downs:
Essentially:
1) You are required to use incense with at least lvl 4 patronage in order to do what, pre-patch, was considered to be "regular" damage. Incense is only available through the CS (bar a one-time reward of 7 days of incense), therefore the only way to get it is either by spending gPots, or buying it off the AH from someone else who has spent gPots.
2) Whenever you die, there is now a chance that an item you're wearing that is of blue quality or above, will get cursed (i.e the stats will be inverted). The only way to protect against this is by equipping holy charms, which - surprise surprise - are only available through the CS (again, bar a one-time reward of 10 charms). Therefore, again, ultimately someone has to spend gPots to get them.
3) The experience required to lvl from 20 > 42 has been drastically increased, and to go alongside this the hp/damage of monsters has also been increased. I don't have any characters below 40 at the moment, but speaking from my perspective, the exp required to go from 40 > 41 increased by over 800% from just over 100k to 960k, and I'm hearing that below 40 you have to grind every single lvl because the quests simply don't cover it. Furthermore, the amount of fatigue exp you get per day has also been reduced.
4) The effect of equipping runes into your items has been multiplied by a factor of 10. This has also gone alongside an increase in the cost of crystal chips on the CS, and the alteration of rune slots to not only be tiered (1-4, 5-7, 8-10), but also to be removed from items that don't come with a rune already inserted. You now have to buy engraving kits from the CS in order to create or enlarge rune slots, and as I mentioned the slots are tiered, so if you want to equip a high lvl rune you have to upgrade your slots.
5) Stat effectiveness has been reduced, namely the dmg boost offered by strength, and the miss/resist chance determined by perception. I can't speak for how much strength was nerfed, but for perception, the miss/resist chance was increased by about 8%. I believe the same thing may have happened with faith, but don't quote me on that.
6) Grouping in order to complete rep quests such as the AT grind has been nerfed. In other words, you will no longer receive credit if you do such quests whilst grouped.
7) All mana/energy/canon regeneration skills have been removed from talent trees (the Mage's Clarity ruby spell's effectiveness has also been reduced), and replaced with skills unlocked by patronage + incense, which cost you myrrh to use. Consequently, the cost of myrrh has been increased by 1000%.
There's more, but in a nut shell the game has become strictly pay-to-play (regardless of whether people can buy incense/charms off the AH for ingame gold, someone had to pay real money for them), and in the case of the rune boost pay-to-win.
The open beta was fine and balanced until the dev team nerfed everything and made things harder. Also the community decided to increase the value of Crystals and there are a lot of greedy maggots who trick new players by giving 20G for 20 Holy Charms when the actual value is 50G.
Also which sucks more is when you have to give money to change your fatigue to experience.
I am writing about the original version - Russian.
I don't play, but that's a dick move.
Oh wow, what a big fucking dick move from them. They can go screw themselves now.
I have not a fucking idea what you're talking about, but just go play wow or eve
Oh jesus christ and I was considering trying this just a little while ago
fuck that
A prime example of how to screw a Game up.
And I was just about to download the last few patches I missed and start playing again. GG, you've driven away 90% of your player base.
Oh god damnit, like leveling up to get a battleship wasn't boring enough.
I never played the game, but... it sounds like they fucked it up the ass. :geno:
I participated in the open beta, and it was fun and balanced. Now they've just ruined the game. It had potential to be a good game, but the developers had to be a bunch of dicks.

Bingo.
Allods before 1.1.0 was one of *THE* best Free to Play MMO's, now it's shit and Cash Shop re-fucking-quired now, whereas it wasn't, at all
It's like the NGE all over again, well atleast I didn't waste any money
Whoa. The fuck is that shit. I'm glad I stopped playing it when it was good. At least I have good memories of it instead of shit ones. Seriously, god damn, way to ruin a game.
First video game rant I've ever read that wasn't at the fault of the end user.
Bravo.
Hey, guess what, the game was fucked up even before this patch. It had one of the most ridiculous death penalties among all MMORPGs. Oh, and how's paying $20 for a fucking bag balanced and OK?
On the other hand, people have been predicting the death of Allods since the beta ended. Yet it's still around.
You can get a bag via quest
or could... It was great for a free 2 play game, Nice graphics, not too buggy, optimized, not laggy, not a Korean grind fest, just questing with a short trip to level 40
it's just been NGE'd now... Even the DP before the patch wasn't that bad, especially compared to now
Russians for some reason just LOVE doing that shitty micro transaction thing on their games. Almost as bad as Korean games.

Also, the time investment to get all the required items to trade in for a bag was insane. The drop rate was around 1%, as I recall
Also stoppend playing some days ago.
Allods was pretty cool but seriously. What the fuck
im gonna go play warhammer online again with my old giantgit orc
Shame, a good game with a nice concept being turned into a Shitty cashshopfest by business mans. Might as well turn it into a pay to play game and remove all the incense bullshit, Its going to cost a lot less to play and might keep some of its playerbase.
The worst is, gPotato defends their new paysystem blindly and says, it's well working and we're still able to play the game without any problems.
LIES!
Its a real shame that a game that was so damned fun, different, and pretty has been taken down by gPot being greedy lil bastids.
I wonder what is the developer stance in all of this. Gpotato is the publisher, Nival is the developer.
They've essentially broken the game for new players.
If you dont have the gold to afford incense, then you you just cant do anything.
Also, nobody wants to go out to the astral anymore, and that was the most enjoyable part of the game. (blowing up imperal ships on Sorrow, especially.)

This was a move by the developers.
All gpot controls is the price of the items in the cash shop.
I bet they will reverse a lot of these changes, a lot of the player base is going to disappear if not.
They said themselves that each country's economy is a bit different and they can't expect the game to do well with the same cash shop / free to play restrictions, and said America is about convenience, while Russia is more about affordability, yet they do this and stab us in the back
They'll change it
Even if they do it'll be too late for me.
I bought ma 90day prepaid card for age of reckoning and till my time runs out i'll not be seen on allods.
This was a move by the developers.

According to Gala-Net, they don't even control the prices.
For every other game, it always seems like the publisher has the developer by the nuts and is directing where the game goes. For this it feels like the exact opposite, Astrum Nival just does whatever the fuck they want and for some reason Gala-Net goes with it.
A couple of months ago I was going to try this based on what I heard. The downloader was not compatible with a 64 bit OS. Seeing what has become of it, it seems like my system was protecting me. I know it sounds troll'ish but I swear it happened.
