can you have helicoptors in fsx? if not that would be quite a large bonus for x plane

X-plane is the most realistic you can get. FSX is all eyecandy.

With PMDG, FSX rocks ass son. Otherwise, its sort of a toss up FSX is more visual, while Xplane has stuff FSX does not so, meh.
Just because your computer can't run something doesn't mean it's unoptimized.
I'm in a confusing minority here it seems, FSX is better on playability for me, and X-Plane is better for eye candy. The terrain and flora seem to be better on XP9. Also, FSX runs way, way better than XP9 for me, along with it being easier to set up. XP's controller and gfx menu is a tad confusing, and getting the weather right is a bitch. But regardless, they're both great sims. Oh, and the general lack of good 3D cockpits on XP9 kind of sucks, too, I like interactivity and being able to glance out side windows, and neither of those works too great in 2D cockpits.
I haven't played around too much with Flight Simulator X yet, but its rudder controls are way too jumpy. I bought a full control package (yoke, rudder pedals, throttle/mixture/flap controls) for use with this, and, no matter how much I fiddle with the sensitivity options, I can't seem to get the damn things to feel the way they should. Was pretty disappointing.

There are no more controls on x-plane then there are on FSX on default. you only have 2345212536 controls if you want them.
