Well, I'm on a different (Better) computer, and I'm only getting 200-300 kbps, opposed to my normal 1 mbps.
I've tried changing my location, didn't work, also, I just download steam.
No. If changing your location to something closer didn't help, nothing will. It has nothing to do with the computer.

And yes I realize sometimes changing your download location to somewhere obscure when the Steam servers are under high load can give you better speeds, right now there's nothing to load down the servers as bad as something like a new game being released.
But my internet is awesome, I've even hooked it up directly.
Delete clientregistry.blob and see if that does anything.
better computers don't mean better downloading speed, it all depends on your internet itself.

Hate to be a dick, but did you even read the thread?
Also, I'll try that Dr Bob
How close/far are your computers from the modem?
Um, why would that matter? I'm not using wireless. Also, the client registry thing kind of worked, it brought it from 300 to 500.
And if it somehow makes a difference, it's about as far as the length of the cable. Which is about 20 feet

The longer the Ethernet cable the slower the connection.
Check your line status on your modem.
Well, it downloaded, so I don't care anymore, but I'd hate to make another topic, but my computer isn't showing any stable fps, but it FEELS stable, as in, it's literally going from 1-60 rapidly.
Any known reason for this (No FPS config yet, just low settings.)
Post your system specifications.

Delete your pornography.
I know someone who changed their location to Iceland. Apparently that sped it up pretty well.
