Ok, so I haven't played WoW since last july and I decided to merge my WoW account with the Battle.net account I just made but it says my WoW account is already merged with a Battle.net account which doesn't make sence... I haven't logged on in a year and I cancled my account last July. Can anyone please help?
You were hacked.
How is tha possible considering if my account is inactive there is no use to hacking me? I doubt a hacker would actually put more time on my account. Also I looked up my characters and it said cannot retrieve do not not being online for a certain amount of time or what not.
Actually re-activating your account in order to advertise and/or use it for botting is very common. It generally nets them more money than it loses them, contact Blizzard support.

i think you have been hacked.
happened to me, just phone them, they'll ask for name and original email and was sorted.
Was kinda creepy as I last played in 07 and it was merged just a couple weeks prior to wanting to resubscribe which was this year.
They will have probably activated the free 7 days to spam like they did with mine.
When you got your account back Pinut did you lose anything? Also if I did lose anything and they ask what I had lost... what do I say if I don't remember haha.
They got databases to see what you had

the characters were untouched which i found strange too but yeah aslong as it's happened recent they'll have logs of what you lost and will mail it back
Ok, called Blizzard support yesterday and was on hold for half an hour but they got my account back with no problems at all ^^.
I don't understand how they hack vacant accounts.

They hack your account before you quit and make a note of your details. They then use the account when they feel the need to.

Oh I see. With everyone getting hacked It seems so easy to be a victim of it. How can you be hacked other than being careless with information?
