This is really annoying me, this is just my opinion, but some people might agree. I think AvP is actually a really good game, i got it within a week of it coming out, its graphics are good, its well thought out, and its challenging. But i came back to it a couple weeks ago, I now play it quite a lot and love it. But there's one thing bugging me, i love the online, the game modes are really fun, and if its a full lobby its hilarious, but i cannot find a decent game , noone plays it anymore. Just this afternoon i went into a quick match, and it was a 1 v 1 me vs some other guy.I quit, went into another one, 3 predators onto me, a alien, by myself. Its ridiculous. So, does anyone like or play AvP anymore? I need people to play with :/ ( This is ps3 btw :v )
I kinda agree you. I don't understand why so many hated it. So far I played it, I thought it was fun.

No, I borrowed it from a friend for a while. So we can't play :I
Has it got dedicated servers yet? The reason i stopped playing online was because it was too fooken laggy. Also I wanted more co-op maps as they were awesome but only having 3 sucked balls.
Iunno, i play it on consoles, also co op wth?

It's funny how dead it is though... there aren't many players on the PC and they aren't going to patch the console versions.
What needs patching on console version?
How can anyone like AvP? It was fucking horrible.
I think the problem is that you play it on a PS3. Not because it sucks, but because there are "better" (read: more popular) FPS games on consoles than AvP. Most people probably play CoD or something instead. I haven't played the new AvP because I never managed to beat the very first one. Damn shit is scary.

I tried playing it online on the Xbox version last night. there was only one full party in the Social matches but too many people were coming and going. I think the host fell asleep or something and everyone was tired of waiting. it'd be better if people played it more often, but the replay value for multiplayer isn't as great as the concept of AVP allows it to be. like it or not, MP is dead.
I knd of liked AvP3, but it was nowhere near the originals. It felt consolized, the idea of "Press E to kill" was decent, but badly executed, and what kept me from buying it was the lack of dedicated server (I refuse to play FPS games on PC without Dedi).

I never tried it. Is it still good on PC though?
I loved it. Played it on Xbox constant, but the room with the Xbox in it is infested by fleas, which have to die first. Also, I ran out of Gold, but that's easily fixed.
apparently, if you try really hard, you can still find a good game or two. I just played a few rounds of Infestation, a round of TDM, and a round of Predator Hunt. it was still fun. I hosted the Predator Hunt one, though (and dominated.). it was just 5 people in Gateway (an 18-player map), but it was still fun. for me. I don't think the other guys really liked it. I won by default because everyone else had quit. and @Theman!: I personally liked the execution kills (even being on the receiving end of one), but it could have been handled a lot better.
IMO the game was great, i think it suffered the same death as RF:G. It was an amazing game to some. But multiplayer died.
The game had potential, but it was killed with dumb QTE and "consolized" gameplay.
I played the demo, it was a lot of fun.
I still play it on the PC every now and then... there's about 3 full rooms everytime I launch ( I live in Egypt, so the closest thing would be UK servers). The graphics are a bitch, though... I am running the game at the lowest possible 16:9 resolution just to get a stable fps.
i play it, just on steam
The whole instant kill thing ruined the game in my opinion, in every server I went on it only lasted about a minute before you had queues of people lining up behind each other each doing the execution moves. Also the game was just pretty bad in general, everything was too simplified and somehow didn't feel as smooth as it did in the old games (walking on walls as Alien and jumping being all messed up being one example).
Lmao yeah you get that alot, i never played the other games, what were they like?
I love the concept, I love the game
Does anyone from ps3 still play it, and is playing right now? I think im bout to go on
