Free Games Thread?

I saw a thread a while ago with links to install free steam games, but I can't find it anymore. I need it for the link to the steam install of Half Life Hi Def. Can anyone help me?

I'm sure I saw that thread a couple of pages back, but I can't seem to find it again.

Also, is Half-Life free or is Half-Life Hi-Def a mod?

Aside from the hi-def pack, I would recommend Space War if you can find three friends. It deceptively simple, but it's blast to play with friends over a voice-chat client.

If you want more cards however they cost money, so it's just another "the richer the more powerfull" game.
