In this singleplayer game, you take the role of a boy trapped in... Well, it's not clear where you are. You wake up in a strange, black and white forest of some sorts. It's odd, and I'm not doing it justice the way I'm describing it at the moment. I'll let a video conclude the description. It's basically a 2d physics-based puzzle game. Sure, those are probably a dime a dozen, but the atmosphere in this game is overwhelming. Immersion - that word was MADE for this game. Everything from the ambient music to the small details in the background wreaks of atmosphere. Honestly, I just finished playing it and I'm telling you now - if you've got a spare 1200 ms points, GET IT. Even if you don't have the points to spare, GET THEM. AND THEN GET IT.
This game is fun,
Want an xbox right now :( [editline]01:08AM[/editline] Or want it to come on ps3 or pc.
This is a truly amazing game. I bought it this morning and have played about half of it so far. I am currently waiting for night so that I can play it in the dark with the volume up, as suggested by a review I've read. The platforming is solid and entertaining. The animations and physics are spot on. The atmosphere and minimalism is amazing. I'm to understand that the only shortcoming is the short length of the experience. If anyone liked Braid, you will love this. If you like platforming, you will love this. If you like Shadow of the Colossus, you will love this. One of the top ten best XBLA titles out there in my opinion.
Gah. I haven't purchased ms points in a long time, but I might have to for this game. Wasn't there going to be a pc release at one point? Or am I mistaken?
Oh my god need to get this, the physics look sexy
I thought this would be some weird Kinect game where you have to bend all over the place.
Just finished it. Truly an amazing game.
Reminds me of World of Goo.
Really great game, best one on xbla. Amazing ending too
I'm going to go against all the circle jerk to bring out a few complaints I had with the game. 1. Too short. I played the game between intervals today and maybe played for 5 or 6 hours total. The only replay value in the game that will extend it's lifespan is finishing your achievements and egg hunting to increase your rank on the leaderboard. 2. The ending. Oh hey, I just beat a puzzle that's just like everything else I've solved so far, [sp]oh hey I'm back in the forest after this awesome slow mo dive through glass maybe things will get interesting again[/sp] well too bad because CREDITS. 3. The game starts out awesome and then comes [sp]the factory/underground bullshit. Ugh, don't get me wrong, there were definitely some clever and challenging puzzles in the last half of the game, but what happened to the giant Spider chases, and the scary psycho kids trying to kill you? Seriously, my favorite parts were running away from the spider and encountering the kids. There was a sense of dread and adventure, and then it all got sucked away in the last half.[/sp] Other than that, the game was pretty good. Here's hoping to a LIMBO 2 that's longer, has more replay value, has more [sp]giant spider/dangerous killer kids[/sp] and less [sp]dark underground gravity chainsaw cog puzzles with no interaction with creepy life forms or beings[/sp], and a longer drawn out ending that's actually satisfying.

They could have thrown in some more stuff to make it interesting besides just puzzles eg. more "set pieces" like [sp]the hotel sign[/sp]
It's just viral marketing for Inception.
Why did I think Limbo of the Lost when I saw the title? Certainly looks interesting though.
Gonna try and make a LIMBO level in LBP.
I downloaded the Trial :iia:, wish i had the full game hate having no money to get it :smithicide:
Just beat this today. So awesome, worth every penny. It's short but not too short, it's at least 3 hours even if you're smart with each puzzle.
I literally just beat it, and I was sitting there baffled as to what the fuck I just did. Then the credits ran, and I was sent back to the Main Menu. And I'm pretty sure I understood EVERYTHING. If you didn't beat it, don't read. I recommend you play through if you can. [sp]Dude and his sister died in a car crash. In the menu, there's a ladder, rotted away, and what looks like the front of a car all smashed up and forgotten. At the bottom, two groups of flies are just flying around near each other. That's the brother and sister's bodies, rotting away. The flies are where they met at the end of the game. The whole game was guilt-ridden dramatic re-enactment of his life, with traps and shit thrown around to punish him for what he did, and what he blames himself for; killing his sister. The final scene was his flying through the windscreen, and upon landing, he died. The first awakening was denial, guilt, and redemption, whereas the second one was understanding and acceptance. He goes up to his sister, having done his penance, and is ready to move on with his sister to Heaven.[/sp] At least, that's what I thought.
dick fling
Got this game today and loving it.
I kept hearing people talking about this, and I thought they literally meant limbo. :v:
I'm getting this tomorrow, It looks really good
Has anyone finished this yet? I am stuck on a puzzle. [sp]You have to activate the room flip button and let a cable cart with a rope come to you, you then re-flip the room, grab the cart and swing to a roof top. I am not sure what to do from there. I can slide down the roof and fall to my death, there is an arrow pointing right but there is nothing.[/sp]
