I'm sure everyone remembers that interview with Gabe back in August, where he mention three surprises Valve had lined up. I never really understood what the three big surprises were. I've kept up with the news, and everything but Portal 2's delay wasn't a surprise to me. Is this something that hasn't happened yet as of now?

It's not Steam on PS3. That was announced before Gabe talked about the surprises.
It was confirmed that MannCo was one of the surprises.
It's not going to be Episode Three.
That will be released in New Mexico on an encrypted server that has seven proxies, eighteen passwords all written in ASCII to make the final code to unlock a .zip file that is the end of Episode Three's ARG.

Most release dates land on a Tuesday. Not entirely sure why, it's just something that's generally done by most developers/publishers. Valve is no different.
