Nintendo 64
The Nintendo 64 was Nintendo's first console with 64 bit 3D graphics. This masterpiece came out on September 29, 1996 along with many great games for launch titles such as Super Mario 64, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and Pilotwings. There were so many good games for the 64. Even the bad games were fun to play. Some of my favorites are: Donkey Kong 64, Harvest Moon 64, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, and Ocarina of Time. This thread is to discuss your favorite games, the Nintendo 64, and all of the stories you have of playing it.
I've been playing Super Mario 64 recently.
Fucking BLAST CORPS, man.

GOTY EVERY YEAR.
N64 is hands down the best console there ever was, to this day
Mario, Zelda, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Smash Brothers, Pilot Wings, Mario Kart.... Diddy Kong Racing god damnit... Fuckin StarFox!
I just saw Goldeneye 64 again today, there aren't any jaggies wtf
Come to think of it... you're right... Goldeneye didn't have any jagged edges at all did it
N64: The Grandfather of AA
Best console ever, still own my original one (working) and many games.
Pokemon Snap was the shit.
I still have mine and me and my friends play it whenever they come over. :3
I hated the thumb cramping controller. It had the most awkward controller. Games were great but face it, the controller was shite.
I'm so fucking ashamed of it; i haven't finished ocarina of time yet, and i even have it on the real console, i really need to do it.
Original Smash Bros, man, amazingly fun game.
God the N64, so many good memories. Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were just perfect games.

They need to remake Blast Corps with Frostbite 2 Engine. :v:
My Dad still plays Goldeneye on it every so often. Its his favorite game.
Paper Mario
Banjo Kazooie
Mario Kart 64
Super Mario 64
Starfox 64
Goldeneye 64
Space Station Silicon valley
Oh yes
A lot of really cool things about the N64 are the Unreleased games and betas. Like Zelda 64, the original Ocarina of Time (Sorry that it's in French. It was the only good video I could find.):

Just look at all those crazy sword maneuvers you could have been able to do. Stuff like that didn't appear until Twilight Princess.

Pandasaurus!
It's sad to see the 64DD bite the dust so early after it was released. It looked like it would have had some really cool games, like Super Mario 64 2.

those things look JUST like Miis.
I need to get myself one of those N64 to USB things and get a real controller.
I loved this console to death. I still have mine somewhere but the controllers are useless because of the analog stick which weares off pretty fastly. Can't turn properly anymore.

I think that's where Nintendo got the idea to put the Mii's on the Wii.

Also, did you know that Super Smash Bros. 64 wasn't even supposed to have Nintendo characters during early development? Here's an article about it: http://www.unseen64.net/2008/04/04/kakuto-geemu-ryuoh-super-smash-bros-64-proto/
Rumors even say that Pit, Bowser, Peach, Mewtwo, Meowth and King Dedede were supposed to be in the game as playable characters, but were taken out due to hardware limitations.
The console of my childhood. I had some memories with PS1 and Rayman 2 too, but it died on me quite early, about 7 or 8 years ago.
The N64 works to this day, though it's not exactly in the best condition. Unfortunately my original Mario 64 cartridge has been lost for years. Still got Zelda OoT, Diddy Kong Racing, Goldeneye 007, Mario Party and Mario Kart 64 though.
In order to keep the thread alive, here's where you can find info on all sorts of N64 and N64DD game betas, and even unreleased and cancelled games: http://www.unseen64.net/category/nin/nintendo64/

Holy shit, I know about the 64DD for a while now but I never knew it had a fucking modeling program.
Oh man, I'm pretty sure i had over 800 hours on super smash bros alone.
Good console, HORRIBLE controller. How in the world are you supposed to use 3 handles?
