I just switched over to XSI from Maya. I have the controls and everything figured out, the only problem is that when I import a heavy model, the texture is the default XSI one, and the model is oriented the wrong way. (I think) Is there any way to fix this? I really need help.
It facing the wrong way will be down to an error during decompiling.
When you import the .SMD, you need to specify the texture directory.
Also, there's a modelling section for this stuff. Next time actually spend 30 seconds looking at the different sections.

I do specify the texture directory, it actually changes the texture to the noicon picture. (I saw in the loaded textures)
