Garry's Mod Just Won't Work

I have been trying to get my Garry's Mod to work but now every time I try to open it, the game opens for about 3 seconds and then a message shows up that says "Couldn't Init Bass!"

Please let me know what I need to do to fix it because everything I try wont work.
