So I haven't subscribed to World of Warcraft since late last year. I log onto my battle.net account to use a seven hour trial for Starcraft 2 and notice I got an invite to cataclysm.
While I do not plan on buying the expansion, is the beta worth playing?
Wait. You haven't got a subscribed account yet you still got an invite?
If you don't play... I'll rip your testicles off and shove them down your thro- I mean yes, yes you should, it is very worth it.
I'm sure its 1 of the thousand scams that got sent out.
I hate you, man.
Leak screenshots

Nah no scam man

Also, what images could I leak? I thought there is video and images all over the web already.
Edit: after looking at the image it appears they invited my trial account that isn't upgraded, lolwtf?
WOW1 is just the name used for beta and PTR accounts, doesn't mean they invited the WOW1 Account.
If the box is a cataclysm box when you click on it, it's cata beta.
If it's wotlk, it's PTR.
Why don't you click it and check it out for yourself
[QUOTE=nikomo;23755744]If the box is a cataclysm box when you click on it, it's cata beta.

except theres no boxes anymore and it says wotlk or cataclysm now
give me ur account
I thought you couldn't get in if you were unsubscribed?
If you dont have your wow account linked to your battlenet (impossible now i think) you could reactive bc or wotlk trial after every patch.
Fffff....
Sure, play it.
I'm in the beta. It's totally worth it. They have re-done EVERY quest from lvl 1-60 and they are alot of fun! Totally worth to play even if you dont plan to buy the expansion

hi mark!!
i wish i had an invite :(
It annoys me that innactive players who werent aware they had opted in to the beta get invites, while people who play alot, and had their opt-ins ready the day bnet went up, get ignored by blizzard.

It annoys me when people complain about not receiving a random invite to a beta version of an online game and say that the company is ignoring them because they happen to play the game more than the person who received the beta invite.

I was active on the cc forums for hours every day, and I like to think that's why I got my invite. But hey.. You can still get an invite, if someone is banned or you can be part of the next batch they invite.

Nope, happens alot Dash :smith:
OP Either play it, Or make a competition so anyone else who is intrested can atleast try and win themselves a chance
I have about 10 emails in my inbox saying about the cata beta... Only one of them looked legit but i deleted them all.

Those emails are pretty annoying. I just delete them all and check battle.net for the real thing.
Well, this is an actual legit email from blizzard, if you get into the beta.
I would show the headers but /effort. In short, all those links are valid and legit. Was wary myself at first but like I said, it is legit.

Also, the sweet irony about the beta is that the /bug command is completely broken, and has been since last patch.

I know it does, but it all links to legitimate places. Hell I even sent an email to blizzard myself asking if that email was legit (they confirmed it was). I received it (note, the only one I've received about the cata beta) a few hours after I discovered my Bnet account had the Cata beta in it.
