Last night I went round my friend's house and picked up his old 19 incher because my 15 inch was getting small.
But the problem is, the 19 inch isn't widescreen, it's almost square. It's 1280 x 1024 I think. Basically, when I open WoW, it's playable but everything seems to be stretched upwards so like what would normally be a square button is taller than it is wide now. Like I said, it's playable, just not preferable.
I've tried changing the resolutions in the video settings, but 1024 x 768 looks exactly the same as 1280 x 1024 which looks exactly the same as all the other resolutions. If I change the resolution, shouldn't the screen look a bit different?
I may be sounding a bit retarded here, but I seriously don't get it.

1024x768 is 4:3, but 1280x1024 is 5:4, so it'll look like that.
1280x960 is 4:3 however, if you use that it'll look like 1024x768 but bigger.
Try checking if you're playing in windowed mode.

Pictures won't do anything. They'll look normal to anyone who actually knows how to use the correct resolution.
