I have a Stone Tier brohoster server that only me and 2 friends play. recently I've been having an issue with lag. I'll mine a few blocks, then they'll reappear as if i didn't mine it at all. i'll attack enemies and not hit them, then i'll get hurt from attacks i never saw. when i try to open chests, the window doesn't pop open for 30 seconds to a minute.

My friends server is having a few problems
is deleting bin and letting it redownload everything as good as a clean install?
Having the same issue on VG, something must be up with BH
maybe its that switch over to new SSD's that i got an email about, but it said that current servers wouldn't be affected :/

Had the same problem myself so I switched over to Multiplay. You get what you pay for I suppose.
In our server sometimes we have random lag spikes
Rename your bin folder to something else, and let Minecraft download a new one. You can't use mods in Multiplayer, they usually cause these kinds of issues (e.g. TooManyItems, Singleplayer Commands)
You can just take your renamed bin folder and name it 'bin' again once you want to use your mods in SP again.
