[list]Q: [b]What is SWGEmu?[/b][/list]
[list]A: Put simply, SWGEmu is a restoration project lead by Odwill (I'm fairly sure Odwill is the head honcho anyway.), its goal is to restore Star Wars Galaxies back to its former glory before Sony destroyed it, two years after the game was made. (The release date of Star Wars Galaxies was June 26th, 2003, the game ruining "Combat Upgrade" came in August of 2005). Ever since then, emulation projects have been going up and down, however this particular one has been around for years. There's still a lot to work out, but so far the future is looking bright.[/list]

[list]A: SWGEmu is ran off of donations, as it would be illegal for the creators to charge money for this because the original content is from Sony.[/list]

Last time i played it i had to talk and get bounty hunter and get all the good items, Wasn't that fun and there wasn't much to do but kill each other.

Yep, now it's functional. The only major aspects that are fucked up right now is some AI glitches every now and then/No player housing yet/No backpacks yet. Nothing gamebreaking or anything, just some features that have yet to be released.

NGE was crap but it is fine now and isn't a WoW clone. SWGEmu is okay but the population is a little lower than I am used to compared to Starsider (when I was on anyway)
It has the better expertise system for sure with all the professions but it lacks all of the new and awesome features of the NGE.
Did SWGEmu ever get Kashyyyk or Mustafar?

Trust me it's still a WoW Clone I played it just about up until around 6 months ago. It's also funny that you ask if SWGEmu has Mustafar of Kashyyyk because these are the two planets Sony created that seemed like an attempt to simulate a WoW area (Not fully open to exploration etc) and iirc RoTW came out after CU so why would SWGEmu get Kashyyyk or Mustafar?
Plus the "New awesome features" of NGE are just extra shitty faff that Sony added to try to attract new players

Not yet, and I'm not completely clear on whether they intend to add it or not, I sure hope so. All of the maps have the Starship terminals and Shipwright is in the skill-tree so I have a hunch it will be added in at a later date when they manage to reverse engineer all of Sony's patches.

Well the setup used to be a lengthy manual setup, now you have a nifty launcher to do everything for you.

I played SWG Pre CU, and though I was much younger then, I still got pissed to hell when they changed everything, and then threw me off completely when they implemented NGE.

These missions are getting stupid. All of them are the same (lair kill) and I don't have a speederbike so it takes extra long. On top of that the pay is shit. :mad:
I'm about to start playing this again. I played it a while ago when shit didn't work too well.

I bought the game awhile ago, and when I went to see if I still had the discs, Of course I'm missing the first one.
