Today the Assassin's Creed youtube channel released a video which just linked to this page. If enough people go to it then they'll reveal what the next Assassin's Creed game will be.

It's hard to even guess what it's going to be, I doubt very much it will be just about Desmond though.
Wouldn't it be Assassins' Creed 4?
Well I don't have facebook but I can only speculate that this new Assassins Creed has to do with the dawn of guns. Muskets, rifles, and continental soldiers anyone?
Then again, if they pull a release strategy like the did Brotherhood, then this release shouldn't be something that concerns me for a long time.
Wouldn't it be Assassins' Creed 4?
No. Brotherhood focused on Ezio Audatore, which could be considered an "expansion pack" of sorts. The pure sequel will feature a new assassin.
Wouldn't it be Assassins' Creed 4?
No, each new numbered game represents a new Assassin.
Since they aren't continuing Ezio's story, it's Assassin's Creed 3.
Brotherhood would be better named Assassin's Creed 2: Brotherhood.

I see, I had not bought Brotherhood yet and have not followed it because I do intend to buy it once it gets cheap enough on amazon.
Thanks for the info.
I wonder who the new Assassin's gonna be? And more importantly, when will it be set? Presumably after the Rennaisance era, since Ezio's covered a lot of ground there.
I can't get myself to finish SP.. it doesn't drive me at all..
MP on the other hand..

I'm the complete opposite, multiplayer was very dull, just a bunch of people running around and a million npcs who look the same all walking.
No one tried to be stealthy, they jut killed each other.
Wheras single player started off slowly and then built up into amazingness. cant wait for AC3, would love to see them break free from Italy and go to somewhere like Paris, just so i could climb up the Eiffel tower and eagle jump off. and then buy it.
I haven't really obtained Brotherhood yet, but I do have a copy of AC2 that I quite enjoyed. I should probably consider buying Brotherhood, since it has that fancy "summon" mechanic that allows you to use Assassins in a fight.
Also, I wonder if there'll ever be an Assassin's Creed with multiple "campaigns"? By that, I mean an Assassin's Creed follows the paths of several different Assassins in different time periods.
One last thought: would co-op be a viable gamemode? As in two or three players following the same campaign, working together as a team to thwart the Templars.

No Brohood was ACII.V
Ive got a feeling that the new game will feature us playing as Desmond hunting modern day Templars, (Brotherhood -->) [sp]and helping the Gods from brotherhood[/sp]

[sp]I think he would be against the gods after they made him stab Lucy (I think that's her name).[/sp]

They better continue the story of Desmond as it ended on quite a cliff hanger. Although Desmond being the assassin might doubtful.

And the writing on the image thing on the page is Altair's full name translated, so it looks like we're going back to him.

Thank god.
Ezio was a fag. Altaïr is the best.
I was very disappointed with the ending of Brotherhood... it didn't answer anything.
Oh yeah there's also the Megathread

[sp]Lucy is a double-agent for the Templars[/sp]
Its what I got out of it.

I'd actually really enjoy that. I love games set in arid locations, not sure why, maybe it's something from when I was younger or something.
Anyway the awesome gameplay of Brotherhood as Altair would be great. I just hope they make him more human than in the first game.

Naw I've seen a few people say that but I'm not sure. [sp]It could just be they wanted to get Lucy out of the way so he'd end up with the other woman who we don't know yet.[/sp]

"Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Megathread"
Last post 6 days ago.
I posted this to bring the attention of the reveal. I'd click this thread but not brotherhood.
Altair didn't have any kind of a personality. Actually his only personality was the assasin philosophy.
Edit2: Even his face is so bland it's almost symbolic for his personality.
Edit: They gotta learn that you can make remorseless killer types with some personality too, like Agent 47.

The thing is Altaïr was raised as an assassin, and feelings were forbidden.
Then Altaïr became grandmaster, and gave a big "Fuck You" to the "Feelings make you weak" rule.
As AC progressed, I felt that Altaïr rediscovered his feelings and went from arrogant Master Assassin to Caring Grandmaster. I guessed when he discovered that Al Mualim was a Templar he got a change of heart.

And I prefer Ezio Auditore over Altaïr.
[editline]30th April 2011[/editline]
Ezio became even more badass then him. Altaïr was a badass from the beginning, Ezio was just a kid. But while Ezio became more badass every day, Altaïr didn't change at all. So my point is that Ezio has grew over Altaïr throughout the game.
Guess this was as good of a time as any to replay and try to beat the AC games.
Been spending too much time on ACB multiplayer, saying "Fuck all the single player, I'll do it later." :v:

Al Mualim used all sorts of mind game shit to get people into the assassins. The real assassins were much the same, well in fact worse when it came to that.
He describes how the "Old Man of the Mountain" (Sabbah) would drug his young followers with hashish, lead them to a "paradise", and then claim that only he had the means to allow for their return. Perceiving that Sabbah was either a prophet or some kind of magic man, his disciples, believing that only he could return them to "paradise", were fully committed to his cause and willing to carry out his every request.[4] With his new weapons, Sabbah began to order multiple assassinations, ranging from politicians to great generals. Assassins rarely would attack ordinary citizens though and tended not to be hostile towards them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassins
It only makes sense that Altair would ditch it all when he became master of the assassins, it was only in place to serve Al Mualims need of unquestioning loyalty to get them to do all of his dirty work.
Hehe, so all pre-altair assassins are brainwashed drug addicts?
I couldn't care less Assassin's Creed is a terrible franchise anyway.
Thank god.

Altair was very bland and had no character what so ever.
Ezio was much better.

Al Mualim wasn't a templar, he just wanted to rule the world himself.
If it stars Altair hopefully it will be more focused on stealth and infiltration and stuff like that, because he doens't have all the gadgetry of Ezio, and I think the assassin element should be focused on more.
