Men of War: Assault Squad is the multiplayer sequel to the first Men of War. Currently MOW:AS is in closed beta where you have to pay a one time fee to try it (unless you get lucky and you're in the DMS Steam Group and win the Closed Beta).
However, when 10,000 members join the MOW:AS Offical Steam group, they will release the open beta.
We're pleased to announce that Men of War: Assault Squad will be released to an open beta status (that means anyone can participiate) once this group reaches 10,000 members! It may seem like a lot, but with help from our biggest proponent - you and all of our other fans, we're confident we can make it happen! While the game remains in a closed beta state for the time being, we are still giving away testing accounts for members of the DMS Steam group. Invite your friends, tell your buddies and stick around in both groups and you could be playing before you know it!

You also might as well join the DMS Steam group as well. (You might get lucky and win a close beta key, at least you probably will once there are enough people in it)

Also it's funny how Men of War is better than 99% of the big-budget RTS games released in the past 6-7 years.
Of course to be blunt, we're missing 9500 people to make this happen.

Voice overs don't matter, it's still the most fun I've ever had in an RTS. Especially with friends.

In what other RTS can you control shot with a sniper through a wooden plank, getting a headshot on 2 enemy soldiers, then that bullet rebounding into a barrel and blowing down the side of a building, holding 3 enemy snipers?
Someone please tell me that plane crashing in the first one isn't pre rendered or anything, that it was actual ingame physics.
It is ingame, this game has the most advanced physical simulations in any RTS to date.
Nothing like watching an RPG round take down the side of a building and fall on a car filled with enemies :)

Our never ending tank fights.
"Firing!" *bounces off*

Ninja infantrymen throwing that anti tank grenade and your tank dies without ever doing anything.

Hardly makes the gameplay bad.
Interesting. I'll try it out.
I like how squads actually die relatively fast if you don't know what you're doing. Better than Company of Heroes, where it takes like a minute to shoot some guy 5 feet away.

No not really. You just like it better than 99% of the big-budget RTS games.
The big-budget RTS games have guys shooting eachother at point blank range and not killing each other.
This one actually requires brains instead of just knowing how to start your base.

But I think the gameplay is mediocre however the only thing I can remember from the game(s) (Men of War and Faces of War) is the voiceacting.
Oh god...

The series has some of the deepest gameplay of the current RTS genre, but I can see if it doesn't appeal to everyone.
